How Paul achieve re issue this album with this Covid-19 now?So the record factory are worked and the disc is be in my hands ok.This album is very expensive the complete box set and others selections coming only with version original of 1997,double album,for have the disc with the demos need buy cd,but coming only with a part of extras songs.So Paul like very much in fill your disc with book,poster,stick,because this,us customers have as pay much money for buy this set box,absurd this.Paul remake your disc,but more cheap the price,please ok.

Many years ago a printer mate of mine knowing I was a huge Beatles fan gave me about 30 plain white , glossy sleeves that were still unconstructed. They were a “secret” sleeve printing job for McCartney , but that’s all he knew about them. After a bit of detective work on my part I concluded that they were the plain white sleeves that featured at the end of this video but without the “flaming pie” stamp on them....maybe a in-house promo of some sort? It’s a shame that other than what he told me there is no indication on the sleeves to show what they are , he knew they were genuine , I believed him that they were genuine (he didn’t charge me anything for them) but there’s no proof that they are what they are to anybody else. I’ve ended up constructing a few of the sleeves and using them for the odd record or two that doesn’t have a sleeve , still got most of them too.

It bears repeating: "Back To The Egg" and "London Town". It's been written millions of times before (I've even written that over a dozen myself). With that said, "Flaming Pie" is a worthy archive set. The price... not to so much. But it is nice. I may look for it used in a few months/years.

Looks like another amazing Archive set from Sir Paul. Can’t wait for my shipment to arrive with the 3 formats I ordered! I would have paid $400.00 US for the collectors edition, $600.00 US is too much.

These sets are not even for fans, they're for Macca's blind worshippers with too much money to spare. I don't care for all those demos, home recordings and such like crap which barely merit listening at all.

That maybe the opinion of one person ( yourself in this instance), but there are a lot of listeners (fans) interested in home recordings, like myself, I’m a musician and enjoy listening to how the songs start out and how they are developed into the finished versions!, If your a casual listener, I can see how you’d find this concept hard to grasp!

I agree. I`m a huge Paul fan, but i would never buy a $600 super deluxe edition just to get a bunch of useless crap. It`s the music that matters, and i still got the cd i bought back in 1997. If Paul had signed each of the copies, it would have been something else.

No he has never done them in order. For example the first Archive Collection was Band On The Run. Then it was McCartney 1 and McCartney 2. Then it was RAM. Then Wings Over America. Then it was Venus And Mars as well as At The Speed Of Sound. Tug Of War and Pipes Of Peace were next. Then Flowers In The Dirt. And then it was Red Rose Speedway with Wild Life and now finally Flaming Pie.

I agree. I got the Super Deluxe Edition of Tug of War years back, where only 1,000 were made. I was hoping he may sign those since there was such a low number. there were hand-numbered prints... Although I doubt it was Paul's hand! lol...

Hey Paul! i really enjoy your unboxing videos! I have a theory why Paul McCartney didn't put a strip on the two LP set. I am pretty sure it is because there is no bonus tracks. But they wanted to remaster it and put it on two records instead of cramming it all on one like they did before. So pretty much this is the new standard LP. Meanwhile all the other CDs and LPs that do have bonus tracks are not gonna be the standard albums meaning after they sell all of the archive collection stuff, that will be it! So to differentiate the archive collection, from the new standard remastered albums, they put the strip on the side. I even have the archive collection of Ram and the remastered Ram without the bonus songs, and the one without the bonus songs, do not have the strip.

@@50milliondownthedraintonym16 All those deluxe sets come with download codes for digital versions of the music anyway. The CDs are in a cardboard sleeve, which decreases their lifespan (which, unlike as people claimed in the 1980s and 1990s, isn't always 70+ years) and more or less superfluous. I like vinyls, but only vintage ones. We have an original "With the Beatles" record in our family collection. It's scratchy as hell, and I don't think it will survive long on those phonographs you can now buy for a 50 on amazon. If a phonograph is advertised as 45/33/78 rpm you better stay clear -- a stylus for 78 rpm shellac records will ruin a vinyl very quickly.

It's just that many institutions that switched to CDs as a storage medium are worried now because many CDs from the 80s and even some from the 90s are deteriorating. One phenomenon is called "CD rot" and it's caused by aggressive dyes that were used until the early 90s slowly but persistently working themselves through the polycarbonate layer. Another issue is that the glue that holds the aluminum and polycarbonate together can melt away over time. When they said back then that, with proper care, a CD would last 70 years or more, it was all based on theory. We have no 70-year-old CDs here, so we cannot tell if it's true. What we have is 30 to 40-year-old CDs rotting away. -- Homemade, "burnt" CDs have a rather short lifespan and are not recommended for long-term storage. Printed ones ought to last at least a few decades. What pisses me off is that the IT industry refuses to come up with a storage medium that lasts. Hard drives, internal or external, have a lifespan of 5 years, according to the manufacturer. Thankfully, they sometimes last much, much longer than that. The lifespan of an SSD depends on how many actions you perform on it. How crummy is that for something you use in a home computer?

@@50milliondownthedraintonym16 I got about 10 years of use out of every hard drive I ever owned -- internal ones. I'm still using my first external drive. In a way, hard drives have the weaknesses of vinyls, CDs and cassettes. Like a vinyl, the disc(s) of a hard drive a read with a stylus-like device that runs across the sections. Like CDs, they are vulnerable to heat, which is why internal drives often give up the spirit earlier than their external counterparts. Unless the external counterpart is used every day and exposed to sunlight and other sources of heat. And, last but not least, like cassettes, they are magnetic storage devices, and magnetic activity decreases over time. As I said, I got much more than 5 years out of all hard drives I ever owned, but an internal drive that belonged to my brother crashed shortly after the 2 years of warranty were over.

Glad the Archive Collection strip down the side is gone! Never should have been there. The strip could have been a removable piece of card held on by the shrink wrap, and if they have to, have a small "Archive Collection" and Paul's signature on the BACK of the cover. Changing the front of the cover is sacrilege.

Thank you Paul for clearly explaining to me why I should be happy with “just” the regular deluxe edition! Absolutely not worth that huge amount of extra cash just to get that extra vinyl disc and some lithographs. Nice video Paul - I opted for the 2LP/2CD - I’m a fan but that’s enough for me. Flaming Pie is one of my favourite Paul albums, and I’d been waiting for a new vinyl press to arrive. Deluxe looks lovely! By the way - In the world tonight documentary has only been out on dvd before on region 1 (USA). So it’s the first time it’s been issued on a official U.K. dvd disc!, I’ve never owned the documentary on dvd only vhs - I’m sure that will be a welcome edition to a lot of fans - can’t really see how any fan would find it a disappointing edition?

Finding an even more exorbitant priced product to justify an exorbitant price is a corporate strategy going back to real estate landgrabbers - - apply for planning permission for 25 luxury hotels that despoil a beach and let them negotiate the landgrabbers down to 3 hotels they planned in the first place. A false concession by first pitching extremism. 25:35 "Why it's that expensive, you know, whether it's worth it, that's a whole other debate..." The 'whole other debate' phrase these days shunts to one side all kinds of debates that never get debated. Can you do us The Whole Other Debate Deluxe Debate Version?

I still can't justify the price of the super deluxe edition . the four records is about 100 and the prints may e 20-30 dollars, I my regular deluxe edition for 206.99 plus tax which made 220.00 dollars. add the 3 record set and it was under 300. I can live without the bells and whistles

Didn’t plan on buying the collectors edition but UDiscoverMusic is selling it for $300.... so I bought it. No way I’d pay for anything over that price but considering the price was cut in half, it’s worth it for the collectors value.

Paul couldn't have signed the art prints as they're Linda's artwork, yes? I got the Deluxe Edition and am well pleased. My only complaint is that the shipping box didn't protect it sufficiently and one corner is very slightly crushed. Otherwise, perfection. Paul should do a song called "Entropy."

Great video !my deluxe set and 3 lp set arrived today so opened along to your video so as to avoid “spoilers “ haha. These Archive sets always seem to improve on the previous one and I hope this series continues for a long time. I like that they are always trying new things but still keep the packaging more or less consistent. I’m also glad they kept the “banner” for the 3 lp set . I hope they keep them on all the future archive releases, even if they make them removable so as not to disrupt the artwork. The collectors edition is beautiful as well, but like the Egypt Station suitcase, I have no regrets not getting it, as it offered no exclusive audio or video, however if it was signed like you suggested, I doubt I would be able to resist. Can’t wait for my SDE McCartney issue to arrive and now to listen to this set until the Sign o the times set comes out! (And hopefully an All Things Must Pass set later in the year) Long live the Archive Collection

If I compare the last 2 sets to the Sigh o' the times LP set I think you get so much more unique material compared to this, but it is all good quality paper and some exclusive music on it but in the end it's a lot of paper that you pay an up-charge for.

I purchased the 2CD reissue, the 3LP vinyl set and the 5CD/2DVD deluxe edition. This archive release is just superb and it’s my money well spent by adding these to my music collection. Thankyou Sir Paul and the team at MPL!
