I saw Paul McCartney play live in Liverpool at The King's Dock Arena 1990. This song was the highlight of the concert for me. A great song.

I do believe Paperback Writer and Rain were rushed out the door in between Rubber Soul and Revolver because the Beatles were due to make another appearance on Ed Sullivan and couldn't make it to the US due to other commitments, thus they were packaged together as a single with Rain as the B Side and never made it onto an album. I don't think it was a Beatle decision but more EMI or whatever label they were under at the time. This song is awesome though!

Out of all the songs by The Beatles this is probably my least favorite song and it was written by Paul who is one of my favorite musicians of all-time. The Beatles are great and Paul is an awesome songwriter but I just didn't care for this song.
