How could I have lived without ever hearing this amazing song until now?!? Why did American radio in the seventies not play this song?

It was published in 1977, however did not go beyond rank 33 in the US charts, whereas being a number-one-hit in many other countries - first single sold more than 2 mill. times in the UK.

$5.00 per ticket for floor seats about 50 rows back in 1964. Can't imagine what it costs now. Several hundred but still worth every penny.

In 2016 Gerry and I were driving down from the BC interior when Gerry said we had a reservation in a hotel in Vancouver. That night, after dinner, she casually said, "Let's go to a concert." This is the concert she took me to. Paul McCartney told stories and sang for 3 hours and it was the most incredible concert I have ever been to. I learned so many things about the Beatles I had never known before. Like the song Blackbird. Did you know it is a song about the plight of Black people in the US? All of a sudden, it made sense. He is a great storyteller. I love you, Gerry. The concert was my birthday in 2016.

Is the video flipped? The reason I'm asking is because it seems the bass drummer starts with his left hand when your supposed to start with the right hand. I know because that's my role in my band.

And the bass player seems to be left-handed as well ;)!

@@strangedaysindeed9 I'm left handed. The bass drum must start on the right side. It's a rule of the band's.

@@strangedaysindeed9 I guess. That or i miscounted. But if I wasn't then the drum major and the pipe major are going to have some words with him.
