I think Tyler and Paul are a dream team... at least whatever they had going on with Trench was a masterpiece. I hope we get another Trench-like era because SAI wasn't really doing it for me... I mean aesthetically it was nice, but the music not so much.. 😔

WOW! Love this breakdown of the production process on Chlorine, Paul! Had no idea. My fav song on Trench and that’s largely due to the Outro which still makes me cry. 🥹The honesty of Tyler talking directly to us (I believe) after the 1 year hiatus that followed the huge commercial success of Stressed Out catapulted TØP into the limelight. One of my fav all-time TØP lyrics: “I’ve been tested like the end of a weathered flag that’s by the sea” followed by the deep “can you build my house…” Just brilliant. Great production job, guys. Ahhh... Now it makes sense why I missed the Trench era until much later.. 2018....That's the year I tried to go home but my flights all got cancelled. Actually one flight made it off the ground but the pilot turned the plane around and went back. I was taking a nap on that plane and woke up still in the same city.
