This is also a form of interview where most of the time the comedian/legend doesn't have anything to sell, like a show or movie. The host says come on the show and you can do a stand-up but sitting down. Look at some old Johnny Carson. He did this with Don Rickles and others I can't remember right now. Taking over the show while on the couch riffing and joking

@@FizzgigMcarthur How so? Paul Mooney claimed that Cleopatra was black in the title of his 2007 "Know Your History" stand up comedy show. This is laughably ignorant. Egypt had been part of Alexander the Great's empire. When he died his empire was split into thirds, leaving his three most loyal generals in control of each portion. Control of Egypt was given to a general named Ptolemy who's dynasty ruled there for the next three centuries until it was annexed into the Roman empire. Cleopatra was the last of Ptolemy's line in power, she had no 'native' Egyptian or Sub-Saharan African ancestry whatsoever. The Ptolemaic Kingdom was an ancient Greek state based in Egypt during the Hellenistic Period. You or anyone else can very easily do a web search and read the historical facts about Cleopatra and Ptolemaic Egypt for yourself, Mr. Weinberg...

He flew under radar his whole career. He was a writer for Richard Pryor in the 70's, in the 90's he invented a character for that show "In Living Color" (a show you should watch which launched Jim Carrey to fame) and then he was on Chappelle's Show. Other than an appearance in a Spike Lee movie, he was underground all the time. That's why he made an album called "Too Black For Hollywood"
