Paul Mooney was so intelligent. Free white & 21 was definitely an old southern saying. It’s in so many Hollywood films of the 1930’s, 40’s, & 50’s.

This interview is painful to watch because there was a lack of preparation and depth of questions by the interviewer. Paul Mooney was one of the most intelligent comics who enjoyed schooling people.

My favorite comic use to be katt Williams, Eddie Murphy, Chappelle or Pryor but Mooney tops them all to me.. possibly second to Pryor but that's it. When he tightens his eyes or smiles hard.. he's about to really go in😅or when he says something then looks to the side with that sly smirk lol

I find myself listening 2 Paul almost weekly. I can't count how many times I play his audio book at work

I think Paul is different from all of those... He wasn't "white-zed" like most of them. Paul doesn't include whites in a friendly manner sort of say.... The others include them but in a jokey way. It's an inclusive style rather than an exclusive style. Idk the expression in America but here we call them 'jumpy puddles'. Means a person that jumps on one side and the other side just as quickly... To please everybody. Paul is not there to please everybody, hence he's not a 'pet monkey'. And that's a beautiful thing on itself! A person that 's free like that.... It's also a force of nature. That's why Paul is incomparable... You can compare the others. Because they're all doing the political correct thing. And listen, yeahhhh, I get it. You want to have a good time, not be toxic to people, let's start a fire and sing kumbaya... All good, let's have a good time. Sure, nothing exactly wrong with that.... But at the end of the day... You'll know your place! You'll see the tents that the women choose to go to if you get my drift

I love his biography, its an easy read. Wish Paul wasnt so combative sometimes, it was good 2 hear him talk about taking Richard 2 Oakland. He always prote ted himself so much sometimes it was hypersensitive
