Then again black American culture itself is largely a mix of southern white and original west African (both for obvious reasons), so everyone is copying somebody. And what is "the black man"? does he mean Kendrick Lamar or Miles Davis or Langston Hughes? I guess hip hop style is copied a lot, sure. Much of current American pop culture (the only kind of culture that is imitated by other countries) is hip-hoppish because black people put so much time and effort into music on average, and the fashion that goes along with it.
