To think this is back in the early 90's and sadly the Conservatives are still running the NHS down. Nothing has changed in nearly 30 years. I agree with every word he said about Mrs Thatcher. Good on you Paul for telling it how it is. Sadly we now have the awful Brexit to add to this. R.I.P Paul you were on in a million and will be forever missed by so many.

Sad truth there, when Labour left office in 2010 the average wait time for none urgent surgery had been reduced to 18 weeks, it was 18 months in 1997. The we handed the NHS back to the Tories so they could cripple it and the country yet again.

Love the Late, Late, esp with Gaybo (RIP), started 62, the year I was born. Moved to UK in 70's so only seen it when back on hols (no internet Players etc back then) - always loved the natural (organic, ie, not rehearsed/staged) audience participation, something you never see on UK TV. Sometimes it got heated but the Host never made it, you're right, I'm wrong...ie, the sort of thing that exists on social platforms today... everyone could have their say without any bother! In fairness *I'm* laughing because of the wit, and the stories, and especially the deadpan delivery, and, yes, obviously the humour is tied in with being dressed as a woman. Whether that's pc or not I have no idea ...
@st20332 Жыл бұрын
@@sdrtcacgnrjrc I think let's not think in terms of 'is it pc or not' but, are we laughing because what they're saying rings a bell, along with their intended mannerisms and such things, or is it because of who they are? Do we have a built in image/idea that makes us find someone doing something we don't understand ridiculously funny, and begin subtly mocking them for it, stretching the joke more? Then maybe think about what that is, and why it's happening, for a little while at least, before repeating the same cycle, maybe we'll see something new within ourselves, or possibly life in general, that's what I do at least, and I feel generally happier in life than I used to be when I wouldn't observe and question myself
