My grandfather liked The Bee Gees in 1974 when he was 78. We’d be speeding down Eastern Ave in Las Vegas and he’d say “don’t tell grandma”. My grandma was a strict old fashioned Baptist. I miss them both.

Amazing how Barry just uses an open tuning and moves one finger up and down the neck to create the different chords. Basically, he didn't know how to play guitar. But look how effective that simple technique was. Genius. Pure genius.

Actually, that is a ukulele. The two are easily confused, the pedals on the guitar are made of Teflon. That's how I distinguish the two.

Wow! They were so young. We visited my Grandparents in Nürnberg Germany in '68 and a neighbor girl kept always talking to me about the BeeGees. She was 14 and I was 9. Here in the states my friends and I were into The Monkees and I'd never heard of the BeeGees. Robin and Maurice had to have still been teenagers with their first big hit. I thought they looked like grown men and their music sounded "grown up."
