Just noticed the classic rocker Chris Rea is the songwriter ("Fool If You Think It's Over", "The Road To Hell", et al). No wonder this song is so smooth.

momento, momento, momento,momento...this is a Chris Rea song from album Shamrock Diaries 1985. This is a beautiful rendition of this song with the unmistakable touch of David Gilmour at guitar and the beautiful voice of Paul Rodgers but the song is from Mr Rea that play steel-guitar also in this song.Alex Rudi Pell make a good rendition of this song also...Saluti!

Tangled dreams and endless highways Bang the drum in a foreign land Sometimes I wonder just what I'm chasing When all I need is the touch of your hand I've got no fixed abode I'm out of my own Babe, it gets so cold Without your love I'm just a stone without your love I'm just a stone without your love And we all laugh and the jokes get wilder Staying up, staying out When we're drinking, fade away into the morning When the strangest cold gets deeper still I've got no fixed abode I'm out of my own Babe, it gets so cold Without your love I'm just a stone without your love I'm just a stone without your love I'm just a stone Without your sweet kiss I'm gone forever And without your touch I have no control Without your love I'm just a loser Without your love I'm just a stone I'm just a stone without your love, yeah I'm just a stone without your love I'm just a stone without your love I'm just a loser without your love I'm just a stone without your love Without your love Without your touch I'm just a stone I'm just a stone

This song from great album 1991 of project Rodgrers/Kenny Jones(ex Small Faces/Faces/The Who) call THE LAW. Gilmour was there in the wings, his role was so insignificant, just played guitar only one this song. But the album is absolutely great!

@alexandereverhart65410 жыл бұрын
Thank you. I was just going to correct this too because I wasn't familiar with the song. It's interesting because Wikipedia only mentions Chris Rea on this song, however, it's very obvious that David Gilmour is on this song because there are a couple of signature Gilmour riffs that only Gilmour can do.
@giuseppepiccirillo85029 жыл бұрын
Alexander Everhart I totally agree with you! Only Dave can do it !!

My God this man really is one of the absolute best singers of all time in any genre... And I love Ronnie James Dio... Rodgers was Dio fav singer along with Glenn Hughes btw 😉 Come to think of it, Glenn and Paul would make a killer song prob
@kevinmurphy5878 Жыл бұрын
Where did you find about about Dio and Paul rodgers? I want to look this up
@ldolphin3412 жыл бұрын
I believe this song is not what you say it is. The actual Paul Rodgers project this is from is a band called The Law. This 1991 cut is from the only album this project made. The hit from this album is called Laying Down The Law, but this is my favorite cut from it.
