Grammy-nominated frontman, Paul Rodgers, is a musical innovator who has successfully reinvented himself over the course of a five-decade career, in the legendary bands Bad Company, Free and The Firm. Ranked as one of the Greatest Singers of All Time by Rolling Stone Magazine, Paul is a multi-faceted creative force in the genres of Rock, Blues and Classic Rock. His powerhouse delivery combined with his impeccable songwriting and peerless showmanship has produced over 125 million records sold and helped redefine Rock ’N’ Roll in the process. Rodgers’ latest effort caps the 50 Year Anniversary of his first major band Free which is recognized as one of the biggest selling British Rock bands in history and has solidified the members as British Hard Rock Pioneers by Rolling Stone Magazine. “Free Spirit” Celebrating the Music of Free was recorded at a sold out show at The Royal Albert Hall in London. Captured in a stunning multi-camera shoot, the result is a release slated for a June 22nd on Digital, June 29th on CD/DVD and Blu-Ray and July 6th on Vinyl. With features and show openers Deborah Bonham and Jasmine Rodgers on the Blu-Ray collection, this production is sure to become a cornerstone to all music collections. Free classics such as “All Right Now”, “Wishing Well” and “Fire and Water” make up the live concert recording with many other deep cuts performed live for the first time ever such as “Love You So” and “Catch A Train”. The release has garnered attention of such legendary vocalists as Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin and Sammy Hagar plus Guitarist, Brian May of Queen and the list goes on. Be sure to pre-order your copy now and be stunned by the visual and audio perfection only gained through a journey as unique and steadfast as Paul Rodgers.
Beacon Theatre: Live from New York is the fifth live album by the American blues rock musician Joe Bonamassa. The album was recorded across two nights on November 4 and 5, 2011 at the Beacon Theatre in New York

Look Man . I am 63 years old and I have seen Paul Rodgers Perform live at various venues throughout the course of my life and I am frankly baffled how he he can still be this good at this age. Maybe he discovered the fountain of youth and that is the believing in the power of Rock & Roll and carrying on and giving everything you have inside of your heart and your soul to the music and maybe that can explain how all of these old Rock & Roll musicians who have abused themselves are still existing in the present day at a ripe old age like they lived regular lives.

Recognized by his peers as the very best but not by Rolling Stone magazine who omitted him from their most recent best 100 vocalist list whilst at the same time including some talentless, no-note chancers. There is a JB interview elsewhere on KZbin in which he references this performance and says that Rodgers came on with no monitor and instinctively knew what to do (brilliantly!).

Paul Rogers is unbelievable. I can't believe how good he is...still. He always has been so so so incredible. I've been listening to bad company all my life. The tracks are so damn good, even now. The way he weaves his melodies through the songs. 1000s of listens and it still keeps me engaged and in awe. Every single word from his heart. Just watch him live....nobody sings like that. Very very few men have talent like him. His tone is unparalleled. I'm in awe everytime I listen to those bad company tracks. Shame on all the music business crooks and elites that took the away the well deserved royalties and income that musicians like this needed to keep creating great music. Just a huge thank you to Paul Rogers for continuing to give us the musical lifeblood we need.

I thought growing up until I was in my late twenties that Paul Rogers was a black soul singer. I had Bad Company albums back in the early 70's and the record by Free and I have the album by The Firm. I never saw them on TV and I didn't know what country they were from. I got the biggest surprise of my life when my two daughters got me tickets to see Paul Rogers live behind a restaurant in Poland, Ohio. It was a small group of people because there was not a lot of promoting. They had limited space behind this restaurant. I just could not believe how lucky I was to see Paul and some of the band members live. The night was perfect and he is such a nice man. We were close to the stage. One of the best days of my life thanks to my daughters and Paul Rogers.

Nice to see Joe playing more like Kossoff, being that he has stated many times how much Kossoff influenced him. Normally, Joe goes way off into fast picking territory. Here, he laid back a bit on the notes, lets them sing a little bit more. Excellent tone as well. As for Mr. Rodgers, what else can ya say? Still singing just as well as he did in 1970, obviously. It's so cool to see him out singing the blues rock. Thanks for posting this.

Kossoff was about control and feeling. Every note and vibrato communicated the music better than just about any guitarist that I can think of. The two times that I have seen Joe B., he would go into 5Th gear and stay there. Disappointing.

@@Cap683 Fully agree. I don't listen to JB because to me his music was all notes and no soul or feelings; totally forgetable. This is the first time I have heard him that I thought he was rocking it. He needs to stick with Kossoff for best and most memorable results.
@chriscampbell9191
@chriscampbell9191 Жыл бұрын
@@Cap683 Yeah, Kossoff had so much feel. And although I love the fact that Joe keeps the blues-rock flame prominent, I agree that his high speed stuff, which always seems to predominate in the vids I see of him, gets in the way of the soul that the 60s British blues rock greats seemed to effuse. I suppose that's part of his own style, and I get that, but when I hear him play like this it's very cool.

How lovely of Joe too, to use the Gibson that was favoured by Paul Kossoff, and even to play the solo in a kind of Kossoff vein. Respect! Saw Paul R numerous times too, both in Free and solo. True vocal legend.

Outstanding Paul, it must have been good to be a Musician the early 70's, the Voice, David Coverdale, Robert Plant, Steve Marriot and Rod Stewart, I was a junior school during that time, but caught up quick.

For me the greatest British rock singer ever. Saw him twice live in my home town of Sunderland in ‘69 and ‘70 he was fantastic as were the band. Saw him a few years ago in Newcastle with the Free Spirit tour he was still fantastic after all these years,he’s so consistent.

I saw paul rogers in ulm germany in 1971. i agree with david, His vocals are better now than back then.Frankly i am amazed that he didn`t wind up like hendrix and joplin, morrision as he was a class A drug addict back in the day. Everything they did he was doing. But he got lucky and survived. When i saw him he was so blitzed he could barely walk. Paul looks healthy. Most artist lose their voice as they get older but paul is in his 70`s and sounds better than ever. Free was opening for a great english band called jon hisman`s collosiem. They were great but never made it in the states. Many of the incredible european bands never make it here in america!

This has got to be musical Heaven! It feels like Mr. Peabody and Sherman set the Wayback Machine to 1971 for me. Paul Rogers voice is pure f--king gold...but I must say Joe Bonamassa's guitar playing is truely stellar...I really thought Paul Kossoff was playing. Joe nailed Paul Kossoff's vibrato so well that I had a smile on my face that even 10 sticks of dynamite couldn't have blown off.....freakin' OUTSTANDING!!!
