27:50 i love when Tony gets all stressed out when Jason wants to talk about non skate stuff all the time 😂 it’s honestly a nice change of pace when done right though and it humanizes the guests. especially skaters who are typically quiet and closed off

I always hope tony doesn’t get tired of Jason’s tendencies of talking too much and making it about him in a non egotistical manner. Gotta love ellis though he doesn’t do it on purpose IMO, he’s awesome and I love his solo pod as well but I feel like he talks over tony and makes conversations about him a little too much in HvsW

When I was younger I was in a youth group which was basically skate all day then learned about god for an hour before going home and every weekend we would take trips to skateparks all around NJ. One weekend the guy Mike that ran the whole thing surprised us by bringing us to a Nike Demo in Morristown where we got to meet and ride with a bunch of pros PROD being one of them signed a board for me and was cool enough to talk with everyone. Still have the board in my closet in pretty good condition and it’s just awesome to see someone that cool become a legit legend in skateboarding.

Hearing these guys talking about the inevitable aging out of being able to skate and do tricks is still sad for me and I don't even skate anymore, I wish I could find the time and energy, but I'm lucky to have found guitar, the thing that really took me away from the deck, I'm still infatuated with skating, play skateboarding video games a lot, watch a bunch of videos, I have a small handful of boards still when I find the rare time and energy to hop back on and carve around my backyard, but at 36 years old and out of practice and not totally in shape, it's definitely sad that I can't tre flip or impossible, or all the fun shove tricks with body varials I loved doing, I uses to have such high pop shoves, my friends would awlays be amazed...there's aging out of guitar, but whereas I'm actually aging out of skating very quick, as long a carpal tunnel leaves me alone, I should have music for a much longer time. I'm glad I shifted to guitar, it does feel like my true calling, but my skate years make my heart overflow with gushing nostalgia! I may not skate anymore, but skateboarding is still one of the sickest things in the world, and the culture definitely stuck with me, I still talk and think like a California skate kid just trying to chill, and instead of shredding the streets, I shred the strings :) death metal baby, all the way lml Love you P-Rod, what a legend!

Turning 46 in like 3 days now. Yikes! lol I'm really digging Primitive boards lately😀(and i'm usually a Element fan). Skated the crap outta the Tiago Lemos Legend (gold!!) Now i'm back on prods Project board. Kind of a short/er wheel base (14") but still loving it. 👍👍

Im still digging to find my perfect size board. Actually i like 7.75 for flip more and curbs thing and you tierd less to make them less weight. When i go to skatepark i feel way better to transictions with an 8 but its heavier and flips are hard. I saw also that the steepness of the tail and weight of wood (1.200 kg its already alot for me) can also make difference. Im short like 5'45''. I would like to have an 8 with shorter lenght and shorter wheelbase but can find it!
@billandhisboard Жыл бұрын
@@ze2004 That all seems really small to me. I'm like 6'3". I would love to try a board with a 1/4 shorter nose/tail with a 15" wheelbase! (pretty sure that doesn't exist anywheres). My goto size is either 8", 31.75L 14.25wb. Riding a 8.125" with a 14"wb. Wider and shorter is weird lol (also using indy 139 hollows on both boards -- makes the 8.125 flip hell of a lot easier!!). But seems to me you could benefit from a board with a more pointy tail/nose...
