Really ? i didn't know that too bad i've never been to NY i'd go and see how their candy is, and i just love Jeffery Dean Morgan to me he's John Winchester. i tried to watch the walking dead in season 1 and i just could not get into it at all i did try though but nothing was really happening at all. that's not to say i need something to happen every second i don't but wow was that show slow well at least the episodes i saw were

I'm from a town in Kansas that's about 2 hours from Paul Rudd's hometown but have lived in other places since 2008. What he is saying about Kansas/Midwesterners is 100 percent accurate and as a native, you don't fully understand it until you move away and then visit. I went home to visit this summer and on my drive home on US 54 in Kansas, two people on the highway actually illegally drove on the shoulder just so I could pass them easier. I have to laugh because in the medium sized Southwestern city that I live in now, people will actually prevent you from passing just to be jerks, they'll tailgate just to bully you, and they use middle fingers on a regular basis. In Kansas, they use all five fingers when they wave. ;)

I've lived in the Midwest and along the east coast. Midwestern Nice is definitely a real thing. Part of it is just how isolated and bare our towns are (it's like half an hour to get to the next town, and doing something like going to a movie means driving 4 towns over) so people have to be nice because there're just so few opportunities to interact with anyone else. If midwesterners were as open, upfront, and honest as east coast people, they'd run low on people to talk to significantly faster. Unfortunately that means a lot of self repression and lives of quiet desperation (i.e. there's a reason most serial killers are from the Midwest).
