I f*kin' love this song and I named my 1st dog Julio because of it. True story - 2 days after my dog Julio died, I went into a convenience store on the way home from work and THIS SONG was playing in the convenience store on the radio. That's weird, cuz you almost NEVER hear this song playing on the radio! I think Julio was trying to tell me he was OK.

i'm not sure why it's this specific song that stands out the most in my memory, but when i was probably 12, so in probably 1998 (+- 2 years to be honest), i was walking around the national mall in D.C. with my dad. i grew up just outside the city in arlington/fairfax counties, and my dad and i would occasionally make the quick trip downtown when the weather was nice and stop by a few museums, grab lunch, etc. while we were just walking somewhat aimlessly between the washington monument and the capitol, my dad stopped and cocked his head and said "i hear music. it sounds like paul simon. let's go." we followed the sound to a small stage where a few people had gathered to listen, and my dad was understandably surprised to see the actual paul simon up there. i believe he was playing in D.C. that night, and i guess (someone who has followed him more closely can hopefully verify) that was a thing he often did - an unannounced rehearsal the afternoon before a concert. i wish i could have better appreciated what i was experiencing - there were literally less than 30 people nearby enjoying this, and at 12 years old, i didn't know hardly any of his songs besides mrs. robinson and cecilia - but i vividly remember him playing this song and me attempting to quickly learn the lyrics to the chorus so i could impress my dad by appearing to know the song. i'm fortunate enough that i can still spend time with my dad when i want, and music has always been a big part of our relationship, but i want to thank paul for providing me with this memory that i'll never forget

My husband’s name is Julio. When I first met my husband I was so in love with him, I was looking for any song that had his name in it and this was the only one I came across. I instantly loved it. I’m embarrassed to say this is how I actually discovered Paul Simon, and now I am a huge fan of all of his music. 🎼🖤

Wow, I know no one will read this but, this song helped me get through a lot. It’s my favorite song, and it’s in my favorite movie. When I was little I loved the Muppets 2011, and I recently rewatched it. I was in a really big funk and it lit up the rest of my day. This song stood out. It’s now my happy song, I listen to it and everything feels, okay. Thank you.

This was my grandmothers favorite song, she sang this whenever it came on the radio, every last lyric. She just recently past away and I’m listening to this song for her. The amount of nostalgia and serotonin this song is surreal.
