This was fantastic! Paul has given us some amazing music over the years. But he was in good company on that stage. Especially the guys on stage.. Lukas Nelson is even more so talented than his famous dad, Willie, and his band is phenomenal. Nathaniel Rateliff is a really amazing songwriter, singer and musician and his band is also incredible! There are many amazing artists out there, you just gotta find them! But we can thank Paul for all of his contributions to music in general. He is one of the great legends of our time, no question.

Listening to the power, purity, vulnerability, beauty of his aging voice makes me wonder if we as humans will be able to contain our hearts and emotions listening to those 2 harmonise again without totally breaking down in tears. Sadly I don't believe music and songwriting will ever get to this level again.

The original studio version of The Boxer has to be the most 'complete' recording ever made - immaculate lyrics, beautiful harmony, a crowd singalong chorus, melody, acoustic warmth, ethereal sound for the solo, the echoing drum hits, and the deep, rumbling sounds coming in right at the end. It's hard to think of another recording which comes close - possibly Good Vibrations, or A Day In The Life perhaps, but none which top The Boxer.
