DW, with respect to your comment, I believe I already addressed that. Call it what you may but KISS in their heyday inspired countless music acts across many genres. Once again like I wrote above, are they just as relevant today as they were in the 70's? No. Do they still pack the people in for the show? Yes. Me, being a long time KISS fan, have already told myself I won't see them again, but that doesn't erase the memories I have of them and what they meant to me when I was growing up. Cheers!

I got to see KISS in a nightclub in Baltimore called Hammerjacks in (I think) 1992. It was great because they weren't doing the club thing anymore but wanted to try our some new material and have a more intimate venue for fans to make requests. At least Paul would ask the fans what they wanted to hear. I was standing closer to Gene and his response to my request was "Hey, somebody shut this guy up." Thanks for making me feel stupid you schmuck. What can I say, I still love KISS.

So, taking that into consideration, presumably I imagine they're more business partners than friends, but at the same time they're like brothers.

Be that as it may (RE: "relying on old fans to support them"), there is a whole younger generation of KISS fans whose parents probably cut their teeth listening to KISS when they were kids themselves. I took my then 18 year old daughter to see her first concert, which so happened to be a KISS concert. She was blown away. Now, do I think KISS is just as relevant as they were back in the 70's? No. Do they still pack the people in for the show. Yes. Call it what you will...
