yes he fully embraced his role he was the chosen one . GENE gives another element. always liked genes songs in the early days. NO PAUL STSNLEY and I doubt there would have been the KISS we celebrated in the 1970s. it was a d ream of the original guys and it became somehow a living organism. there will never be that type of theatrical metal group again.

first concert, I saw kiss in 1976ish in san antonio texas (rush opened, I was 13). I hitch hiked from about 35 miles away to see the show. I met paul in a bar in mahattan in 1987, talked with him for about a half an hour and didn't know who he was. the bartender told me after he left. great life memories.......

I’ve been an unapologetic KISS fan since 1977, when I was age 10. They, and Alice Cooper, started my love of rock music and sent me on a life journey searching for the sound. “If I like these guys, what else might I like?” There’s a big world of music from all genres and all parts of the world. Keep your ears open, you mind open because you never know what you’ll really like. And I’ll admit it, by the early 80’s, KISS was having problems, and my musical interests started to mature because I started growing up. But KISS laid the foundation. In spite of my childhood bedroom being a KISS shrine by 1978, my parents never took me to see them in the late 1970’ when it would have been the greatest experience in my young life. (I saw the Osmonds as part of my sister’s 10th birthday present from my parents and my surprise present was seeing Doug Henning. Tell no one like by posting it publicly on the internet that the Osmonds were very cute and entertaining and Doug Henning was really amazing.) in 1996, when the original members reunited I needed to make up for my parent’s oversight. I couldn’t miss this. I said to my friend before the concert started, “it’s been a long while since I listened to KISS. I wonder if I’ll even know these songs.” The concert started and I knew every song, titles, lyrics and all. It was also the first concert when afterwards my ears rang for a day. I never made the mistake of seeing them without ear protection. Most concerts to this day I don’t bother with ear protection. They were that loud. In the end I saw the original line up 4 times and the final lineup 3 times. They are, in my experience, the most entertaining presentation of live rock music. When I listen to interviews with Gene and Paul together and separately, I know I’m listening to two very smart, very wise, very accomplished, incredibly savvy men. People get jealous and envious of the extraordinary amount of wealth they have accumulated. Not me. Jealousy and envy are 2 cheap, easy, self-defeating emotions. I didn’t fail because someone else was more successful. I stand back in awe. Also they earned every penny. Most people could learn a thing or 2 or more from these guys about business in general including teamwork, and surrounding themselves with superb, visionary, management and marketing experts and great visionary producers, life, philosophy, show business, a work ethic, overcoming obstacles and just ignoring the naysayers and sticking to their ideas.

Here in Charleston, SC October 7th, 2000 Kiss performed and at the end of the night playing Rock and Roll All Night, Paul started breaking up his guitar on stage. Not to be shown up, Peter Criss started breaking apart his drum set as it was suspended in air. It's was a big debacle. I thought that was the end of Kiss as we've known it. In a way it was. But now they keep trudging along. Gene might not be for everyone but you have to admit he's one hell of a business man/merchandiser. Paul is the one with his head on his shoulders that never falters.

Paul should have been a politician. He speaks in sound-bites but doesn't actually say anything meaningful, nor does he answer the questions. He often asks his own questions and then proceeds to answer those.
@HappyMachorino-bd8no6 ай бұрын
You didn't listen. He answers already the first question correctly, how he met Gene. And it's meaningful. Paul's first song ("Sunday Driver") appeared on the first KISS album. But Gene's song didn't. The rivalry between them is still there. That's why he mentioned it. They may be like brothers, but it still matters whose song was better. And it would be very interesting to know: if Gene had not treated Paul so arrogant, would Paul ever have written such great, strong songs? It's also very meaningful when he said, his wife is Solid Rock. Wonderful🌹 It means, things like "pretty" "sexy" are not important. He loves a Solid Rock Woman! ❤This is so nice. Paul is 💯% intelligent.
