For me, I loved Final Shape and really enjoyed what the team did. Then they laid off all those devs and for me while Pete Parsons is in charge I am not playing Destiny. I did have the full season passes but I think it is important to speak with my time and money. I did the same when Blizzard had the big investigation. Once new leadership is in place I am willing to come back.

I think it’s a mistake for bungie to launch the new saga in the “old” game. Frontiers should have been a d3 storyline

the hopeless optimist in me could see that. But so often in the games life, the players have held out hope for some future greatness that doesn’t always pay off. For the first time in a long time, bungie has to deliver upfront before i plan to invest in the game. Trailers, blog post, and dev streams won’t cut it anymore. The game needs “new” not just “more” at this point

I want to play destiny, logged on the other day error in first few minutes. Desire to grind for guns is still nonexistent, mix of crafting and how strong we are with abilities. Wish for a d3 for a full power wipe. Our guardian dying would be a nice full restart.

Bungie has painted themselves into a couple corners; some of us love crafting, some of us hate it, I used to log in every week to collect my red borders, others stopped logging in, and Prismatic sort of sucked the fun out of build crafting (for me), going with a classic Light or Dark subclass leaves too much power on the table. Cross's video about loot economy rings true, too; a half-hour of play in PoE or Borderlands rewards piles of loot, in D2 I'd be lucky to get a couple of weapon Engrams and a handful of unusable armor. As Paul and so many others have said: We need D3. Bungie has painted themselves into too many corners, Destiny (the franchise) needs a reboot that just isn't possible inside of D2.

I'm simply exhausted from hearing about the speculation on the switch sequel. Honestly it doesn't matter anyway because I can guarantee you it be smarter to wait a year or two and then get the more advanced OLED version....

While there's certainly a difference graphics wise, the main difference between ps4 and ps5 are the load times. If the next switch is a ps4 level console, that will be a great thing for Nintendo and third party, mainly when you consider that publishers are still making ps4 games.

One leak suggests frontiers is fallen based with eramis and the homeworld. Cant really say its something new when its an old story arc. Not sure its gonna be a hit. Meanwhile the traveler has still only slightly been explained. Light and darkness is over in terms of them mentioning it but theres so much we still need to know about the traveler.

I hope at least the new area we got to frontiers is like a mini wipe, like we can’t bring all our gear while in the new zone/ mission and leave it behind in sol, maybe a seperate vault or anything, honestly I would prefer a full reset at this point

Diablo 4 is missing on variety. Path of exile had little events that happened during the maps and Diablo doesn’t have that. It’s either a dungeon/map. Or a hell ride. Or a puzzle dungeon.

@ didn’t they try seasons? I know they did something because I came back to the game after a pause and found all of my gear that I grinded my ass off for marked as obsolete and totally depowered. Once I saw my gear - of my solo play character- was now totally useless, I uninstalled and never looked back.

@@MichaelEilers I don't know if PoE 2 is necessarily any different or better with that. The game also does run on seasonal concepts. And unless you engage fully with trading, gearing up in SSF for PoE 2 is much more of a grind than Diablo 4.

Honestly, it was one of the greatest game experiences of my life. 10 years is soo much time (off and on of course) to play the same game. It's ok to move on. D3 will have me comeback. Maybe marathon?

I didn't stop playing Destiny because of the end of the Light and Darkness saga. I stopped playing Destiny because Bungie has made it excruciatingly clear that they want to scale back as much investment in it as possible. And why the FUCK would you spend your time and money on a live-service game that the developers want to kill? When there are so many other games out there to play?

Destiny 2 was installed on my PC always since Red War. A few weeks ago I finally uninstalled the game. The lack of giving a shit by the developer is more pronounced than ever. All the creative talent has left or been fired. Final Shape was OK but not their best even. The withdrawal of communicating with the community, the lack of innovation, the game becoming more casual focused with crafting, boring storylines that flew in the face of established characters backstories, monetization, etc. etc. The only thing that can save this game is replacing upper management and Pete Parsons and Bungie shifting focus off Marathon back to Destiny.

The studio looks borked from this side - the amount of work I would have to do, when logging in to D2, from my vault, to my characters, and then having to try and keep up with systems that can swapped out every X months (why can't I just log in and play the game, and if it's updated, benefit from it, instead of having to re-learn or grind power levels?!) I think there might have been a time where companies made games for streamers, or people who have insane amount of hours, so they focus on short term content, or skins, whilst neglecting the core product. It's a shame, I want to go back to the old days, when we paid for a game, and could play it, and then if the studio made something interesting and meaningful, they would release it and we could buy it.... Seasons... wtf, we are humans with lives and friends, make something timeless and iterate on the long term factors (theres only some much peer 2 peer pvp I can handle)

I’m same least played in 5 years. No dawning but marvel rivals is banging right now tough to go back to destiny. Who’s coming back next episode for a scout and rocket good luck bungie. We need more ground breaking weapons that are actually good. 4 round burst side arm I don’t know. We already have best loot why chase new loot garbage. Crucible need a new over haul almost a new game for crucible to have a chance but don’t make money from crucible so don’t see that happening. Maybe see if crucible players would buy a seasonal pack give a 2 map pack for $20 see how many buy.

They need to kill destiny 2 and marathon off and make a destiny 3 thats totally different to what destiny 2 is mechanic wise. Make it more mmorpg, hell even go 3rd person. Have 16 player raids world events that shape the planets, missions within patrol instances randomly happening so you can go off with random fireteam members on a mission that rewards various stuff. Have the tower get attacked randomly so whoevers there has to defend it, n if they don't have a cutscene where people repair it and name and shame the noobs who failed
