@ MINOX was invented by the Baltic German Valters Caps, it was manufactured in the Latvian factory VEF from 1937. In 1940 Latvia was occupied by the USSR, in 1941 Latvia was occupied by Germany. In 1942, production of MINOX was discontinued. In 1945, Latvia was again occupied by the USSR. From 1948 to 2012, MINOX was produced by a company founded in Germany by Valters Caps.

I was (possibly still am, long story) married to a beautiful woman who's parents fled Latvia during the Soviet annexation. Anit taught me some conversational Latvian, Sveiki, ka tev iet, (hello, how are you?), beer in Latvian is alus, and a car is a "machina" (sp?) I was honored to attend a family Christmas dinner at her uncle's kinda mansion, and I have to report that the cold rhubarb soup with flour dumplings is DELICIOUS, it's sweet, like a dessert.

If your English was that good, I'd assume you'd learn when a sentence can end and start, as well as where to put commas. I'll also mention that it's not that special, my teachers have asked my parents if we've lived in a different country because of my English speaking and writing skills.
