She’s suing because the prosecutor stood up at that podium and repeated a single witness’s statement as if it was fact, with nothing else supporting that statement. She should not leave it alone because this is not how an investigation is typically handled, and they were prematurely and wrongly imprisoned. The reality is that they could be brought up on another charge regardless of if they sue or not. This lawsuit is as much for her and her son as it is for the public at large - kudos to her and her legal team!

I think as black people we have been conditioned to accept the very small pieces of leniency we are given and are expected to run off into our corners as if we are children. Let’s understand Mrs. Hood’s standpoint from a legal perspective…. Although there was a video of her being viciously assaulted and despite the fact that she and her son turned themselves in… they were charged with first degree murder. Let’s understand what that means…. First degree murder means malice, premeditation and intent. So that’s like saying her and her son previous to getting to the food store had planned to murder this man. Absolutely ridiculous! Not only that but her mugshot and full name was released by the police department to the public almost immediately. She has the legal basis to not only sue the police department but also the media outlets that spread false information.

Q I love that you corrected that. And to add to that... They weren't just picked up and taken to the precinct for questioning they were booked and locked up for days as well. The detectives had instant access to the footage so after picking them up and questioning them they were suppose to had been released afterwards and told not to leave the state but instead the mother sat in jail as the son sat in juvenile hall. A lot of you all forgot that the law changed in Illinois in january as well... do your research.

As regular people, if we’re caught taking classified material from our work place, we know there’s a jail cell waiting for us. In order to keep our job and our freedom, we know what has to be done to secure classified information in our work environments. We know what is feels like to go through adjudication every 3-5 years (answering questions about your finances, etc). IMO, Jeremy Brown was a terrorist, especially to black women. He felt justified bullying and physically assaulting that lady for not moving fast enough. Had those grown men present checked his azz, I doubt her son would've even intervened. Far as we know, that boy saved his momma's life. I'd bet Brown's own mother and sister weren't spared, either. Plus, while previously on Live, Brown threatened to break the legs of yet another woman who dared approach to ask a simple question. Not to mention the bw he put hands on, and set fire to the home of. As a doll can be seen in the pictures of her burned out living room, it's possible she's his children's mother. If so, that means he victimized his twin daughters, too. And, to add insult to injury,, that same woman was recently blasted on FB regarding Brown's alleged dl bisexual cheating by a man who told her to check his phone.
