Im going to see Paula Poundstone tomorrow night and I am so freaking excited! I loved her from the late 90's to the 2000's. I had no money after that point to watch comedy on tv and to have internet so I am stoked about seeing her tomorrow!!!

How was the show? I remember listening to her in the 80s and absoluetly laughing my head off! Then she just left because her life got a little messy and it seems like she never quite got her footing back. I bet she was hilarious! I would love to see her come back huge!

I love it when someone like this remains as talented as ever even as they "get up there" in age, which is more than can be said for many entertainers (that said, this is the first time I've ever seen her where she wasn't physically attractive, something she never gave herself nearly enough credit for).

The world and the people in it aren't the same... Things really were more simple back in the mid 90's and people had more of their own mind thoughts and views. Everyone is focused on their own crap and their agenda ect instead of not being afraid of laughing together at a single common cause or thing that we all identify as, we've become so divided and over easy to get offended, screw this current age in society. It's not that Paula sucks now, it's that the world changed and no one knows what to think unless they are told to do so and what to think.

She was also charged with three counts of lewd acts upon a girl younger than 14.[16] The charge involved inappropriate touching of a 12-year-old girl.[17] In a plea bargain, she changed her earlier plea of not guilty, and in exchange prosecutors asked for the court records to be sealed, dropped three counts of committing lewd acts against a child, and added a misdemeanor count of inflicting injury upon a child.[16][17] Poundstone also pleaded no contest to one count of felony child endangerment.[17] She was barred from taking in foster children again, sentenced to five years of probation and six months in rehabilitation, and ordered to perform 200 hours of community service, attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and a child-abuse program, and receive random drug and alcohol tests.

She was, and is, an alcoholic. She adopts nothing but children with extreme special needs and has stated many times that not only would she never do anything to hurt them, she has stated in other contexts to being asexual.
