She was such an intelligent, articulate, charismatic woman. So misunderstood. She was ahead of her time re flexible working hours and more. A joyous, humorous woman. A huge loss. The horrible media coverage was pure jealousy. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for uploading these Joe. Paula seems like she was a really complex character. On the one hand, passionate about Motherhood and spending time with her children as well as nurturing her career, a famous teetotal and someone who could see how damaging her childhood was to her in adult hindsight and then completely changing her core values and beliefs and embracing hedonism when she got together with MH. Love/infatuation is a funny old thing and can send you quite mad

Michael found his equal in Paula. He had so much passion and she was his only partner who equaled him in her love of life. People always slag off Paula and say she wasn’t as pretty as his other girlfriends but that just shows how they don’t see beyond the surface. Michael and Paula saw and lived on a deeper level.

Hutchence was a greedy, immature, spoilt, addict of a man child who sadly dragged an all-too-willing Paula down into the black hole of his life...

I recall Paula originally blamed Bob for his suicide. The night of Nov 22, she told reporters “they call him St. Bob but that's a joke. Michael obviously flipped out he was worn down by 3 years of torture”. Author Lovegrove, interviewed many who knew Paula and Michael, and found that Paula was telling friends Michael was on edge and had threatened suicide in his final year just weeks before his departure from London. Read the "Police Statement of Paula yates" she and Belinda talk about the problems Bob caused. lt was rumored that the reasons Paula later change to the sex game story as for money and because Bob threaten a slander suit for her calling him a murdered n the press - which dispite how Paula felt - it is technically slander.

I liked her individuality. She found a different love with Michael. Her love for Bob changed and that's life. The fact she fell in love with Michael and it can thwart your thinking, reality of what is. WE ARE ALL FLAWED WE JUST DONT GET DEMONISED, CRAPPED ON AND JUDGED RELENTLESSY. BOB ISNT A SAINT NOR SIR HES A HUMAN BEING WHO HAS BEEN PROTECTED BY HIS LIVE AID HISTORY. ITS ALL SO VERy SAD AND UNREAL. RIP PAULA MY LOVE. IM PLEASED BOB HAS CONTINUED TO LIVE HIS LIFE AND SUPPORT HIS FAMILY. MICHAEL , I THOUGHT YOU WERE ENIGMATIC AND YOU EXPERIENCED BEING AND LOVING AS A FATHER for a short while. Paula wasn’t in love with Michael as much as she was obsessed with him. That relationship was not going to last even if they had survived.

So true but very sad about her & Bob simply because she says in this interview that Bob & her relationship was the most solid thing she’d ever know up until then.

@@vanessa.jasminethat is sooo true. I agree she was obsessed & very obsessed with having him. Even though she knew MH was not being monogamous to her, she wouldn’t let go. Imho she gave up everything for MH but he didn’t give up near as much for her. I doubt they would have stayed together had they both lived. Sad.

Great interview ! Loved Paula she was the best. Had to laugh at her talking about cheese baps ! She had a thing about using cheese baps in conversation, used it again talking on the BB about Helena Christensen needing to learn how to cook and not live on cheese baps lol. Loved her reposte to an interviewer who asked her "What have you got that Helena doesn't?" Paula said: "Michael?" Classic wit

l recall that she cried victim when the press compared her to Helena, but the press revealed Paula was behind the stories as a way of getting sympathy from Michael, whom she dragged into her court problems lnteresting too that they say M got Paula into drugs when she was into drugs long long before Michael and admitted it in her bio. Michael's friends said he couldn't take drugs as much due to his cocktail of meds for his head pain. (He had several Rx in his system hen he committed suicdie). The only time she & he were accused of doing drugs was when that horrible Gerry Agar and the nanny told the police and the media - at the same time - that they found drugs. THEN the police dropped all charges for lack of evidence.

She was brought up in a world of celebrities, artists and writers etc. That was her world. And she had a far from ordinary life. She was never going to be with bland Joe Bloggs type.
@rozchristopherson6483 жыл бұрын
@@juanitarichards1074 Some people have the good sense to know that not everything that glitters is gold. She did not have to marry a "bland' person. There are many people living full, rich, exciting lives that are not rock stars. In fact, many who are rock stars walk away from it because of the drugs, sex, lies, pressure, etc. I think she could have had a fine life. She seems like a very interesting, spirited woman. She didn't need to keep attaching herself to these men. She should have just concentrated on her own life first and then she would have been more grounded. With everything that went down, there's nothing left but a lot of sadness. Michael is dead, Paula is dead and Peaches is dead and Tiger Lily has lost both her parents to an early death and is being raised by Geldof whom she will come to realize over time played a major part in what happened to both Paula and Michael. Too much, too much. Just like Whitney Houston's death and her daughter's death soon after in a similar manner, Paula and Peaches died in a similar manner. J K Rowling had a "bland" life, as you call it, as a teacher. But look at her now with the success of Harry Potter. Paula could have had a great, creative life if she had just stayed away from rock stars.
