Fishing with the new ‪@Swellpro‬ #SplashDrone #SD4 Profish fishing drone. This video explains how to set it up for fishing, we don't get in to the specifics of the camera on this video but the Profish comes with a 4K camera on 1-axis gimbal.
We demonstrate the Powerflip function - how to flip the SD4 from being upside down in the water, although this is an 'in case of emergency' function as salt water can still damage the drone over time.

How to fish with the water resistant Splashdrone SD4 fishing drone. Drone fishing techniques with Kaleb from ‪@AdventurewithKZ‬. This video is instructional and shows all the "How to fish with a drone" techniques if you are considering getting in to drone fishing but are unsure how easy it is. Calibrating the SwellPro SD4 is easy, especially when compared to the older generation Splashdrone 3, 3+, and earlier models. Kaleb shows how to calibrate the drone, and how the mechanical release works.
The SwellPro Splashdrone SD4 is IP65 water resistant, (remote is IP66) has a max payload of 2kg, max casting distance of 5000m (image transmission up to 3000m), and comes with a mechanical release, plus your choice of no camera (Basic), HD fixed camera (Fisherman), or 4K camera with one axis gimbal (Profish) as shown in this video. The new battery allows up to a massive 30 minutes of flight time.
On these #drones we are taking out 6 hooks, using the Penn Spinfisher VI 10500 and Fin-Nor Offshore 9500 reels to haul in the line and fish. Fresh Kahawai and soft plastic baits were used on this day using PFS Target Snapper hooks.

The #Splashdrone 4 (and older models) and SwellPro Fisherman Drone (FD1) are water resistant, which means they will resist the entry of water to an IPX4 level. For technical reasons, some parts of the drone are designed to be not completely sealed or completely watertight, so the drone should not be submerged under water. If the Splashdrone comes in contact with saltwater, the user is advised to wash any saltwater off with fresh water. Always follow all documentation and instruction manuals that come with the drone.

What’s your thoughts of the sd4 compared to fdi? Did you get the same amount of drops? Also can the fd1 flip from upside down like the sd4?

As a fishing drone, the FD1 is hard to beat. Benefits of going to the SD4 are the cameras and accessories. Yes the FD1 has the PowerFlip function too.

Could be one of the other calibrations not done, IMU perhaps. Go through all calibrations and if that fails, contact your local support agent

Having the aerials above is good for boat mode when you are above the drone, the signal transfers to the remote better from below when the drone is above you

@@paulsfishingsystems if I raise the splash drone from the beach to a height of 6-7 meters and then send it 160-170 meters away, will the antennas always go downwards?

If flying that low, I doubt it will matter either way. We usually fly at 30-50 metres to keep line and hooks out of the water. Line drag in the water can cause your drone to slowly be pulled down in to the water.

It often happens that this message "Compass error warning- calibrate the compass MODE switch" appears on the remote control of my SD4, the drone loses the GPS signal forcing me to return to ATTI mode. Could you explain this problem to me
