I was just cutting my yard which was completely overgrown, and to be fair, I have not cleaned my mower deck very well over time so starting my Honda mower has become difficult. I was almost finished when the mower stalled again. This time when I went to pull the cord, it didn't start and the cord didn't recoil. This video makes the repair look fairly straightforward, like maybe even I could do it. So once it cools down (the mower and the 96 degree temperature outside) I will remove the pull cord assembly and will re-tension it as you showed. I was already frustrated with the heat, the mower breaking and the possible expense and time to have it repaired. Thank you so much for posting this!

So I've only used this pressure washer one time. kzbin.infoUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP The one time I used it, it worked great. I recently had new siding installed but kept the old gutters and small areas surrounding my house that weren't replaced so they looked horrible and dirty because of the new siding. I needed to get it cleaned asap. When I used the pressure washer, man it just melted all the dirt and grime that was on those areas of my house. I used that krud kutter soap and it was over after that. Easy to assemble, feels durable, very simple to use. Also, I purchased a used one to save money and there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. I want to get more use out of it so I think I'll be washing the cars and update this comment as time goes on.

@@ripniklol7563 this works no update needed. However the easiest way to do it can't remember if it's this video or not. Put gloves on so you sweaty hands don't lose grip of the coil. The out the inside end inside the chamber make sure the string is pulled to its tightness because when it recoils it will be loose if not. Once the coil is in the chamber use your gloves to spin it tight and into place. Hours of fucking with this made me learn the smart way not the easy way

I was about to go nuts trying to get that spring back in. Watched other videos but yours is by far the best. Took me 2 minutes using your method. Thank you!

Really helpful tutorial, key info re both hooks pointing same way to the left, also counter clockwise to thread new rope. Followed all advice, hey presto, the lawn mower started, really chuffed as we say in the uk,never done this before .Thankyou sir.😁👍

Great video mate, after watching this I fixed the mower that had sat for a year with a broken spring and pull cord. New petrol, top up oil and a plug rub and it started. Cheers

I'm embarrassed to say I'm a qualified mechanic and I needed to find a video to help me out...😬 I attempted to repair it and it just didn't work, I knew I was making a mistake somewhere because it wouldn't tension for me.. you saying that the v's need to be the same direction did the trick! Every day is a school day ;) Thanks man, and greetings from Ireland 👊🏻

With as much as I struggled with this last night before watching your video I thought there was no way the spring would cooperate. Tried your method today and had my lawn mower up and running in 5 mins. Thanks!

jp7620 great to hear I'm glad this video took some frustrating out of fixing this problem. I made the video after struggling with it for hours myself until I figured it out.

After watching your video I fixed my sons minibike. It was the same exact problem you just showed on this video. I fixed it and wound it up just like you said and it’s back up and running. Thanks a ton man!
