This was my first Bach Prelude and Fugue I learned and I quickly fell in love with the complexities of these pieces. I’ve decided to learn the entirety of book 1 of the well tempered clavier before I die lol

I would like to request a tutorial on improving trills with 4 and 5
@PaulBartonPiano7 жыл бұрын
To improve trills with fingers 4 and 5, I'd recommend Chopin Etude Op. 10/2. The trill is part and parcel of the articulation of your hand and 10/2 is the most effective study of all to develop the weaker fingers and articulation across the whole hand evenly. Alternately, the chromatic scale with fingers 3,4,5 is also effective. I demonstrate it here: Chopin Etude Op.10 No.2 "I Hour Daily Practice Routine" kzbin.info/www/bejne/maG7opd4gLiGfNE Other than that, in the keyboard music of Bach's time, you start the trill on the beat, on the upper note, and a tip is to add a bit more weight to that upper note, as if you were trying to accent it. Don't over do it of course, but thinking of the upper note as you play tends to make trills sound brighter, have more consistency from start to finish, and unify the trills collectively throughout the given work. Also, if you use sustain pedal in Bach - some do, some don't, (I don't) but if you do, it's best not to pedal the trills. Trills need to be played confidently -- shy, muffled, pedaled trills don't really work in baroque music. In the faster trills, try for as close as you can get to a staccato touch with finger tips, rather than blur the notes together in legato. I hope to return to tutorial-making soon, now my baby daughter is a little older, and have noted your request.

Shadowing is a great technique for this! Just shadow play your right hand melody while playing the left hand ones and gradually, the right hand one will be quieter.

I think this is very good- it shouldn't be too fast; the best tempo for both Prelude and Fugue, M.M. 52... there might be meaningful numerological associations of 52; Prudence, Growth or Gradual Development; Yenh and Yearning; Hampering, as in the gentle constraint against destructiveness, hate and violence- much damage has been done, a pacifying, healing influence is helpful, etc.... The work is very profound. The rasa or mood, Second Decan of Taurus, called Material Success... The attribution for that old Pisces aeon, very much C'penta Armai'j, called Faith-Devotion, the same as Barbhelon, Mary or Marah; this divinity is no longer there, Viraj is accordingly correct. Eunomia, which means Good Order, or Good Pasture, attribution with Understanding. Everything just right in society; the errors or mistakes of some can influence negatively, generally. The Poetic Value of 52, 10 suggests The Mage...
