Good observation! I've been to Lopburi and as I was walking by the temple, a monkey jumped on my back (which I didn't mind) but then proceeded to aggressively bite my shoulder. Fortunately, just teeth marks. They may look cute but are wild and can be aggressive.

After reading quit a few comments I had to go back and watch it again, amazing what I missed: the one eating the corn, the one looking in his shirt pocket, the one who actually played a note, the rather large one sitting very relaxed on top of the piano with his leg stretched out towards Paul, and the little one that came back twice to sit on the keys and wrap his leg and hand across Paul’s arm. What an interesting experience for both Paul and the macaques. I found it rather fascinating to see how some really responded more to certain songs. Bravo Paul for your patience, you are a brilliant pianist and person!
@josephmonkele5992

Actually they didn't respond to any songs at all. Studies have been done that proved that monkeys show no different brain activity when you play music for them. They're too stupid and undignified to appreciate something like this.

@illuminOz does the Thai language not have the means for the introduction of new vocabulary? I don't think there are very many animals (or anything else, really) which aren't named specifically, or at the very least, named according to their general appearance. I ask because I have a general curiosity for other languages, not to make some kind of comparison or judgment against anyone's native tongue. Thanks for your time..

This is an old vid & this is an old comment. A small country town in Australia was having its yearly celebrations. The most coveted? The Nundle Dog Race which was exactly as it sounds & was open to any competitor. My sister was visiting from Sydney so we dropped in, bought ourselves terrific coffee & then discovered the “girls”. The most divine singers who had no audience so I started dancing & my sister knitted. The Wool Mill had a “knit a square” invitation so my sister fixed other people’s mistakes & as I said, I danced. Pretty sure we would have bought coffee for these wonderful performers & this vid opened my memory of 20 years ago. God I’ve had a fabulous life. Della

This man is the coolest I've ever seen. Clearly a lot of love is going here, on both sides. These may well be wild macaques, but they sure are tame around him.

Finally Paul bursts out, "And THIS is why we can't have nice things!" Just kidding, he's amazingly patient. I used to teach yoga to toddlers, and it was much like this. Respect.

Heartwarming and hilarious. I especially loved the little one grooming the pianist. You know you’re accepted when you get groomed. ❤

If only this is one of the ways we can communicate with animals too, way we share humanity and love with animals, I think there'd be a beautiful union and story between humans and animals as coexisting living creatures. If only maybe we weren't planted evil seeds to be cruel with animals and learn to tame and even study how to understand them. :3

Some of the audience were curiously quiet & enjoyed the piano but for many others they were very restless & busy jumping around...I think the elephants are far more appreciative of your piano skills & music. Sorry I did have to giggle at your ears & hair being examined, then one cheeky little fellow about to take your glasses 😅 Thank you for your wonderful video.
