@@romandybala hey Roman, your post is posted as a reply to my original post so, Paul might not see it. Perhaps you could delete it and post it into the main thread which would be immediately below the comment count at the top of the posts. I had a great visit with Paul yesterday, had a great chat and we took apart the a wheel to get at the 8" brake drum he needs for his cub. The only disappointing thing is Mitch wasn't there recording so, I'll missing my 15 minutes of YT fame . ;)

But I believe that like Mike Muniz the Corolla guy when he leaves this Earth behind what he has saved and restored will be for all those left to wonder about and enjoy a he has preserved history for future generations to marvel at and find inspiration in what he has left as a legacy and what he has achieved is something to inspire others. Hello Mr. Brodie! I'm a keen cyclist who started riding vintage drop bar bicycles for fun and exercise. I want to thank you for the opportunity you also gave people in other places of the world. In Sweden, there is no one with similar experiences as you have building bicycles. It is a dead profession. In my master's thesis project at Lund University, I designed and built a bicycle using much of your content on KZbin. I found a man in the area, a soulmate, 50 years apart. His name is Johnny, and he sold much of the cycling parts through a shop in the 1980s, also tubing. He helped me understand and regulate the Acetylene/Oxygen torch (which is frightening for a beginner). He never worked with fillet brazing, but he showed me that it is possible to work without an automatic flux machine (maybe harder though). Identifying the right filler materials from Swedish suppliers was probably worth a few university credits. I milled my own dropouts and built tools and jigs for raking fork blades and brazing the frame. The bicycle turned out very nice, and I have used it every day riding to and from work at a large bicycle company where I was offered a job. My friend, who helped me start the torch also fights cancer, leukemia, and I am very grateful I took the opportunity to learn some of these skills before they are gone. Thank you Mr. Brodie for providing me with the information I needed to build my bike. Without your videos, I would not have managed. And, what an amazing feeling it is to ride your own bike. Get Well Soon/Martin

He pushed it home (5km.) then he sat down a wasn't able to get up again, shortly after he was taken hospital got scanned and diagnosed. He didn't make much longer, so I really hope you do make it. This story gave me a flashback. A long long long time ago I had a jamming throttle on my souped up moped, a Puch Maxi, while I was driving on the road, just before a sharp corner. I didn't make the corner, but luckily for me I just missed some trees and some barbwire, and I ended up in a dry ditch that was overgrown with vegetation, which gave me a relative soft landing, and I was unharmed, I didn't have a single scratch. But it was very scary. And although the speed was not absurdly fast, it was still fast enough to get seriously hurt if I weren't so lucky that day. An old schoolmate of me lost his leg due to a moped accident. My moped on the other hand wasn't so lucky, but some guys who were driving behind me loaded up my moped and they brought me home. I am glad to see that you are okay and that you lived to tell the story. 👍

Paul just want to say thanks for all you do. I make, simple in comparison, custom motorcycle frames for a living. you have inspired and improved my work with the knowledge you pass along here. The impact you have is far greater than the feedback you can see on here. I was also in a horrific motorcycle crash and if you ever want to talk war stories send me a message. I ask the universe to help you on your speedy recovery!

It sure made my day when I heard that KZbin bell ring, i click the mouse & there was a new long awaited Paul Brodie episode..At the moment my face, shoulder, neck and forearms are covered in gauze and tape after being under the surgical knife again for skin cancer. Being a 70 year old sun sensitive redhead who has lived & worked outdoors & ridden bikes all my life I guess it was somewhat expected) A multi year long procedure that started in 2018 & after 30 successful major & minor skin removal surgeries, everything had to be put on hold when Covid hit in 2020. Anyway it looks like this whole winter & maybe into spring will be dedicated to getting my skin sliced and diced all over again. So happy to see Paul & Mitch checking in with an update, & Hope all the best for Paul's treatment & a full recovery, This channel has helped me fill many of those long voids of idle healing time, Paul sharing his knowledge, humble expertise & engaging in a nice variety of interesting projects & builds. The Triumph Cub build is dear to my heart, being my very 1st & memorable motorcycle back in the mid 60's. I've had a many bikes since , from Old Knucklehead Harley to Honda 90's & early Goldwings to the mighty Hayabusa which was my last Liter+ bike ending my 50+ years of road riding. I always had a passion for earlier & vintage machines The Triumph Cub always stood out in my mind as the most enjoyable riding and sounding bike I ever experienced & owned, and the only bike I wish I still had.. So Pauls excellent refit and refresh of the old Triumph Cub has had me inspired to no end. Again all the best for a full recovery & as always look forward to enjoying evermore of this fine channel.

Just a bloke from the UK here, I'm glad to see you're back, your videos are always worth a watch! In the past I was involved in motorsport (sidecar racing), any form of motorsport is exciting to participate in, the downside is that what makes it fun also tends to make it dangerous! On the flipside, you can't live your life wrapped in cotton wool. Good luck to you.

Hello Paul and Mitch, I can't begin to tell you how much I have appreciated your videos. I came perhaps somewhat late into the game when a friend of mine who knows you sent me a link to the beginnings of the Tiger Cub restoration. I was hooked immediately and spent many wonderful hours watching your videos. I was deeply saddened when you announced that you had contracted cancer but am elated to see you up and about and to get an update. I will certainly be rooting for your recovery and have fingers securely crossed in your favour. Some years back, well, June of 1992 to be precise, I had a motorcycle accident which left me with compromised leg movement the worst of it being that my left leg has very little flexion or bend if you will. This has made riding a bicycle, something I very much love, impossible for me. I've long had a dream of building a telescoping left pedal crank which would compress at the upper fulcrum of its rotation compensating for the no bendy leg. This was something I was going to approach you about if I was ever so lucky as to meet you in person as I know you would not only have the knowledge but also the ability to construct such a contraption. I felt it was a project you would truly enjoy as well. .My thoughts and well wishes are with you and I still hope that when you recover I will get my chance to someday meet you. Be well sir. Cheers, Sandy

In our house we have Netflix, Amazon, and KZbin as for as tv watching goes. No “regular” TV or cable. Most of my wife’s and my tv time is KZbin. You sort of get to feel that you personally know some of the people that you like to watch. You definitely get to be part of our family in a small way by becoming part of our TV experience. A few times this past year I was wondering what happened to Paul Brodie? We miss your videos! Welcome back! We are rooting for you and sending positive thoughts your way!
