Mitch is quite fortunate to have a frame he built himself, in a class that no longer exists, taught by a legend and master of the craft. Money can't buy that experience!

Wow! I sure miss mountain biking. As a 56 year old mountain biker I broke my neck, and damaged my spinal cord. As you get older, when you hit the ground, some of us break. I was a quadriplegic for a couple of week, but walked out of the hospital after 6 weeks. I have some major issues but I’m glad to be alive. Be careful you guys. I sure would love to be out there with you guys, and I dream of riding one of Paul’s bikes. Paul, you sure are a craftsman and I really enjoy your content. Thanks

I didn't know you dabbled with URT designs in previous years. I might find the courage to forgive you for it one day... That kind of riding is great though, leisurely with some excitement, amongst some particularly pleasant surroundings. More than just a gravel road, but far from the modern definition for mountain biking. There's a trend to revive the term "ATB", maybe that'll happen as the spectrum between gravel and mountain is increasingly blurred.

Thank you for publishing the wonderful frame-building series. I was captivated from start to finish. As a Japanese person, it makes me happy when you mention names like Tange and Shimano. I own two city bikes, one hardtail mountain bike, and one flat-bar road bike (with a chromoly frame). After watching your videos, I have come to appreciate the importance of taking good care of my bikes, even if they are mass-produced in a factory (possibly made by robots). I have learned that assembling a bicycle frame requires a lot of knowledge and experience. Now, I find myself examining the weld beads on my bikes, wondering if they are brazed or TIG welded, and thinking more deeply about bicycles. Once again, thank you.

It appears that gravel biking is different up that way, those look like mt bikes on mt bike trails, and looks fun! Im 66 but am out on all sorts of bicycles and motorcycles pretty often, like 180 miles a week on road bikes usually. The whole "crashing and flailing" on mt bikes is fun, but there's nothing but rocks around here. So maybe not the best idea for longevity. If you get an E mt bike you can crash going WAY faster if that's the intent.

Nice bikes, all. I’m growing to like the sound of those Hope hubs. I learned morse code at the RollsRoyce Amateur radio Club in Barnoldswick, (called Bar’l’ick by those who live there). And that’s the same town where Hope hubs are made. Maggie Thatcher (👎🏻!) put Barlick into Lancashire, but really it belongs in Yorkshire, and is proud of that fact. A nice ride out with friends in the woods. Impressive collection of bikes, and riders! Oh, and the engines in Concorde (and in the TSR2) were made by RR in the town, and were known as ‘the RB211 engine = Rolls Royce Barnoldswick 211. (Not a lot of people know that!!) Great vid. Plain and simple camaraderie, spending time in the outdoors, some tomfoolery, and being active. That’s what mountain biking was all about when it started, and for me, that never changed. I think it’s a big reason why gravel biking is so popular. As mountain biking got more and more extreme and bikes got more complicated, gravel biking brings it back to the essence. As a side note, for me this video also confirms my opinion that ebikes are NOT a good thing for older riders. The tumbles and falls in this vid are all withouts consequences, but would they be had these guys been on a heavy, faster ebike…? Fun can be had on a slower pace, without keeping up with the young guns.
