I agree with Tommy a full blown coral reef and moving fish over and split predatory between the two remaining tanks would be absolutely phenomenal, Tommy is a absolute genius, the best of the best, Carib sea were very generous with the supplies they provided.

Reef community tank as you will see the smaller fish that hide, it’s a 10 as always, if your putting corals in 3 or 4 large ones that multiply quickly

Community, community, community! That pond is not destined for a grouper. Lots of fish, lots of light, all live corals. Lots of filtration, everything. But I would have a shed on the other side of that wall built for the filtration, something big enough to really do this right Paul. I believe in you!

Paul if you're planning to move all the fish over then why not just transfer that same water over through your filtration system or a pump so you can empty the other pond to scape it? The fish will go into water they are acclimated to and you can add the live sand immediately. Then that first pond will have a minimal amount of water and you can easily scape and add more rocks to it. Then schedule another saltwater truck to top off the new pond and fill the original pond. So you won't have to double pay for salt water. Save yourself a bit of money...to buy more fish.

I was going to suggest the same thing. Even if he doesn't transfer more than half of the original water from the current reef pond into the new one. Means the fish won't have as big of a shock due to already being in water they are used to. If he does it that way he can do the "water change" by topping up the tank with the water truck

The water doesn't hold anything beneficial for the fish, clean water is more beneficial. There is no dosing or anything to save no corals eating what the fish produce. And you're mad if you think he pays for it all most cost are covered by sponsors like this video the whole Scape was free.

@@JamieGonzo Agreed. He outsources EVEYTHING instead of doing it himself. Those types of aquarists tend to not have the knowledge and ability to reef-keep unless they outsource that, too. Which you're looking at tens of thousands of dollars per year. I'd be shocked if he could keep a tank of aiptasia alive without help, lol.

Hi Paul, I think moving the community fish to the new pond is the best move for the fish. They'll get a lot more enrichment out of the amazing new scape. I think the pond is a solid 8/10. Adding plants or corals (if there are any safe corals for all of your fish) would take it to a 10. Also more lighting. You can never have enough lighting.

Great idea Paul! Use the smaller one as a predatory grow out tank and the round one when things get bigger. If your coral get too large in your aquarium you can add the into the large community reef 👍
