Paul’s style was always a mystery to me. Love his philosophy as a bassit and how his number w/ joey #1 & #2 meant a lot. Maggots certainly miss Paul.

I love this series so much. As a relatively new bass player (bit over a year) this series has helped me understand the role of bass and how to create good basslines. On top of that its also absolutely fascinating seeing how other bass players express themselves artistically. I'm in a band now and creating basslines for it has been some of the most fun I've ever had in my 20 years on this planet. Thank you, Paul for making these videos. (P.S. I'd love to see a bass habits episode on Scott Reeder from Kyuss)

Every time I see this video I can’t help but cry, to see the pain Corey is in breaks my heart. They were friends from day one till the end, people don’t understand how close everyone in the band was with each other. 14 years later both Paul and Joey are gone, the heart and soul that helped shape this band from day one. The loss of someone you love is the worst feeling a human can ever feel. From one metalhead to another, a bassist to another, Flt high Paul you will always be missed. 08/04/72 - 24/05/10 🕊️ And you too Joey 26/04/75 - 26/07/21 🕊️ Your legacies will never die for as long as us maggots live.

Friend, the tunings are wrong, they are: Drop B: B F# B E Drop A: A E A D Scissors and music IOWA: F# F# B E Slipknot never used Standard tunings and always Drop tunings Remember, this is not a criticism of the video, it is just a correction of the facts. Congratulations on the work Paul

It's a pity that with a lot of the full tilt slipknot sections the bass is almost imperceptible. This video focuses on his sound in the context of the band which is good but his bass stems are almost ridiculously technical. And I wouldn't have known if V-man didn't mention it.
