Thank you so much for teaching us about all the stops. I love hearing the different sounds of the organ. You are so knowledgeable!! Blessings!!

Hi, I have a little comment on something I've seen in your other videos about Italian organs. The "duodecima" is not a 2-foot stop, but it plays the twelfth note, so it is a 2.2/3 foot stop, as the Nazard, for example (but the Duodecima is a principal pipe, not a flute pipe). Sorry about my English 😬 Congratulations as always for your content!

It was interesting to hear a bit of Andrea's playing. Hopefully, you had time to give him some practical pointers on the study of the organ. (You must be starting to prepare music for the Holidays, and am looking forward to those future videos.). From Chicago, U.S.A.

Hi Paul, I just found your channel, and you're amazing!❤ I'm also "relieved" in a certain way that I'm not the only organist who plays with only socks on the feet and no shoes. It is always interesting to learn more about the stops! Needless to say, you've got a new subscriber! Saying hi from the Netherlands.🤗 🇳🇱

Grand! And yes, Paul, I do enjoy the "behind the scenes" footage. My favorite church and organ KZbin video tours are done by Ben Maton, aka "The Salisbury Organist". Do you know Ben? If not I really hope that you and Ben may meet sometime. 🐧 www.youtube.com/@SalisburyOrganist

The music of the pipe organ is the best music to see how good you're sound system really is. Most stereo systems don't come near the capability of fully reproducing it. My homebuilt tube amplifier with JBL speakers come pretty close.

Hey, Paul would you play Toccata y Fuga in D Minor at some point again bitte? I always seem to think of that song and play it once every October during Halloween time. Probably due to pop culture and 'The Phantom of the Opera’ even though I never seen it yet. Well just like Dies Igraes is used for some horror movies, the song was originally played in Eastern European countries during end of life series.

Hi Paul thanhsks for your presentations. During your italian travelling you shoul visit the organs in the neighbouhood of Padova especially the organ of the parisch church of Conselve non far from downtoen of Padova
13:05 In poland we play that very often. Its Ciebie Boże wielbimy here (We adore you God) aka Laudamus te Deus

Stupid Question: How do you Play the different Organs all around the World? are they some Sort of "standardized"? I mean playing a 400Year old 700Pipes Organ with 6Registers, 1Manual and 1Pedal must feel like driving a original Trabant vs. a new Mercedes, aka 10'000Pipe Organ with 5Manuals and additional 2or3 Rows of Registers and Shutters at the Pedal? Are there Standards that all Organbuilders follow, like which of multiple Keyboard plays which Parts of the Organ, or where the different Registers are, like Manual on the left Side/Pedal on the right Side? (like Gas-, Clutch- and Breakpedals are always in the same Place in every existing Vehicle from Trabant to Tractor to Lorry no matter which Brand) Greetings from Switzerland :)

Sounds like an organ should sound

Organ music can be remarkably light and pleasant. I feel like there is an expectation that everything should be intense. It's designed for worshiping in a Church. Tocatta in Fuge should not be the zeitgeist, or go-to organ piece. It's intended to be a powerful aid in worship.
@InventorZahranАй бұрын
Duodecima means twelfth in Italian, so that's a quint 2 2/3'. If it was a 2-foot, it would be labeled Quintadecima (fifteenth).

Hallo, lieber Paul.
