Great video! Literally the thing that I was looking forward the most was the new score design (being able to edit the spacing between notes), glad to see how it works :) Is there a restraint on how much can you edit the spacing?

Thanks! Not really any restraint. The bars can be shortened until the notes are crushed together and lengthened as far as you want. The individual notes can be moved until they are touching the note before or the note after. Such a great (and badly needed) update.

How do you put an effects pedal to kick in , let's say on the 3rd bar? Or in the middle of the score being written?

If you go to the 'Track' section on the right hand inspector window, click the '+' symbol under 'Sounds' and copy the initial sound. Add the effect pedal to the newly created sound. Then, click the 'A' symbol and add an automation to whichever bar you want to toggle the effect on or off.

How do you put the note on the TAB in bold?

You cannot make an individual note bold in the tab (is this what you are asking?), although you can change the font and font size for the tab via stylesheet/Fret numbers.

Is there somewhere to download pedalboard setups/presets?

I don't think you can download complete pedalboard setups, although presets are available on each amp or pedal. There is a drop down menu in the middle of each visual pedal to access the presets. I hope that helps.

IN TABLATURE NOTATION, IS THERE ANY WAY TO TURN OFF THE LINES/STEMS SO ITS JUST SIMPLE TAB WITH NO TIMING. I WANT IT CLEANER LOOKING WITHOUT ALL THAT. CHEERS

Yes. Open the stylesheet in the song panel on the right. In the notation section, click on whichever voice you are using and you can hide the rhythmic stems. Hope that helps.

Hey, do you know if pedals can be activated/notated mid-song?

Probably best to use Edit/Sounds/Sound Automations and change the sound at whatever bars you need a different pedal configuration. In that way, you can add more than one pedal change.

Great software, but I find the playback instruments kind of weak, considering Musescore is free and has more authentic sounding instruments.

I haven't used Musescore, so I cannot compare. Is Musescore good for creating Guitar Tab as this is Guitar Pro's strong point? I have used Finale and Sibelius in the past, but moved to Guitar Pro as it was so much more efficient.

@@PaulHillGuitarist MuseScore can be used to create tabs, but it's much more cumbersome. Hence why even if it's free I still opt to use GuitarPro, even if I had to pay for it. Anyways, I am trying to hook GuitarPro up to a DAW, and then use Able for playback.

@@blahdiblah2169 I need speed and efficiency as I mainly use Guitar Pro when teaching. If I use any tools (Guitar Pro for basic jazz backing, etc.) and I want to create some sort of backing track, I will export midi files and use Logic for sounds.

I'm going to try an experiment now with Cubase, and MidiLoop, and see if I can get the DAW to play as the sound engine through GuitarPro eliminating the need to export Midi files and always have GuitarPro playback handled by a professional VST.

Do you mean in the pedalboard effects? If so, there is a tape delay and digital delay in the digital effects section.

@@KaptainCanuck they are different, although I was interested to know if you were looking to do something specific or were just looking to add an echo effect to the pedal board. Quite a few pedals and sound options in there, but no echo unfortunately.
