Malignaggi had the talent way back, had he had a focused trainer like Danny Garcia has in his dad with his preparation and working on his flaws, improving his physical aspects as his technique is excellent....Paulie would have been an elite exceptional fighter...the way he talks about training you can tell he likes to do what he has to do to get through it and does'nt push himself like Garcia or a Tim Bradley or even Mayweather....

Please understand that broner has been boxing since age 4. This is a someone who was actually born into boxing, not some sport hobby picked up during highschool years.

Paulie is great for boxing. He'll have broner so worked up by fight time who know's what will happen. Broner has skills, but the best name on his record is either Gavin Rees, or Daniel Ponce De Leon (10 rounds); and that was a close fight. Broner has never fought 12 rounds, and has been stopping a lot of average fighters on the way up. Kell Brook stopped a lot of average fighters, and he struggled with stamina once he got in there with someone who does 12 rounds for fun- like Paulie does.

Also the Gavin Rees that Broner fought was past his best. Broner has also never fought anyone with feet and hands as quick as malignaggi. When this fight was signed i thought straight away well Broner will win that probably, but as I've looked a bit more i'm not sure, For Broner, stamina could be called into question, as well as heart, and it is the best, most experienced fighter he's fought by a long way.. It could be a close call for him i think.

Broner won, but it was far too close for Broner for to be cocky about. Khan, Cotto and Hatton beat Paulie waaaaaayy easier. This was a bad fight for Broner, his limitations were exposed too early in his career, a better fighter would have taken advantage.

Even know Adrian won the fight by decision, it was a split decision which means one judge had Paulie as the winner. It was a close fight. I thought Broner was gonna smoke him but he didn't. Khan smoked Paulie. Cotto smoked Paulie. Broner squeezed through a split decision win. You gotta look at the specifics for the winner of a fight. Because sometimes it could be a horrible robbery or just a close competitive fight.
