When the show reminded you that the people in it have no values, no morals, no code, no loyalty, no nothing, other than "might makes right".

I remember back when I was in highschool and those singing fish toys were literally everywhere in North America. I live in Canada and they were on the shelf of every Walmart Kmart or any wholesaler even grocery stores. And when I went to the travel to the states to go visit my family down there (because my mom's American and so is all her side of the family) down in the US those things were everywhere too every retailer every wholesaler everywhere just like in Canada. They were more popular than fidget spinners when fidget spinners took off now this is before the use of KZbin and social media to promote things so that's pretty good marketing and advertising from the creators of the singing fish

Man, imagine what it was like working in customer service. I worked at a gas station for a couple years, those things were the bane of my existence. I was hearing "take me to the river, drop me in the water" in my damn sleep. I think we sold more dollars worth of them damn things than we did gasoline a couple of months. One time there was a problem with accounting and our paychecks were delayed a week, the manager gave everybody unsold singing fishes as compensation. Because I can totally pay my electric bill with a singing fish. I still have a couple of them things around here. (edit) I just unwrapped this thing and it mostly still works! The cheapass plastic the fish is made out of melted the backboard in a couple places and the fish won't turn its head but it still sings and flops its tail. Not bad for something made in 1999.

I could never figure if these two actually liked eachother or not, so much conflict amongst the occasional laughs.

At the very least Paulie seemed to genuinely like Christopher. He’s pretty much the only one who’s actually sad when Chris dies.

Mafia hypocrisy: when Chris was made, they specifically told him to speak to Tony regarding ANY issues lol

That fish's ability to turn at a 90 degree angle during the chorus is one of the most disturbing things I've ever seen.

To be fair, it the high blood pressure medication that causes that...maybe a note from a doctor.

God I remember when that fish was everywhere, like everyone had it for about one Christmas then you’d see them lying around in garages and crappy rec rooms.

Dude this exact thing happened between 2 of my uncles the whole big mouth bass thing. They both laughed at it and found it to be funnier than it actually was, just like this. I think my uncle was in the mafia.

I remember when the singing fish came out on the market. They were also motion activated so you could hang it on the wall and anytime someone walked by it would start the singing. At the time I had an aquarium (tropical fish) shop so it seemed like the perfect thing to put on the wall by the front door. It lasted about a week, my business partner was having a bad day and walked in the shop. That fish was the "straw that broke the camels back" so the moment it started singing he punched the fish destroying it. LOL

Just shows how hypocritical this whole system was. during Chris's initiation to getting made, Paulie literally said "if you have a probably anybody here, you can take it this man (Tony)" which is exactly what Christopher does and is now getting reemed out for it. It's all a crock.
