When his sister Janet finally got some mental help and stopped acting out, it genuinely bothered him to see her doing well, and he goaded her about her missing son until she snapped. He wanted Chris to go to rehab and then constantly mocked him for not drinking or doing drugs. Tony is such a badass. He looks down at his food and says "lose the glasses" without looking up. He then proceeds to stab that food with his fork.

"Your uncle WAS a rat" (And he said it twice.) That should have signaled right there that Richie was gone and NOT in the Witness Protection Program.

TONY to JACKIE, JR.: Your uncle Richie is a rat. He’s in the Witness Protection program. JACKIE, JR.: No way. Impossible. TONY: I’m not the only one who’s saying it. Everybody knows it. JACKIE, Jr.: Well, in that case, I suppose it’s true. And to think that Jackie, Jr. wasn’t smart enough for med school.

All these years and times I’ve watched this scene, I never realized that the song paying in the restaurant is the same song in Johnny sacks car when he’s leaving his house to go see his dad in Boston (when he’s supposed to get wacked). Wonder if that’s intentional?
