Man...every time I listen to him talk, I learn something new. I share the same problem with feeling like my work needs to be something besides just making pictures. It almost felt selfish to not have a big mission like other photographers do. Reuben said exactly what my reason is...for mental and spiritual balance. It makes me feel alive, and it's a way to connect with others. Really great episode again!

Another great conversation with Reuben, Paulie! The street photography world feels so much like the punk, skater, DIY scene that I grew up in. It’s amazing to see that mindset still pervasive in Reuben (and maybe you too, Paulie?) after all these years. Great series and that part about composition especially. I think he hit the nail on the head for me personally. My pictures are often just too passive. Subject, expression all there but the „meta“ composition often is just too plain and there isn’t much to look at except the subject.
