If you are located in the EU and selling to the UK or, for example, to Norway, these customers need to pay VAT and duties, which fees are typically collected by eBay and then you need to add a code on the package indicating "paid" to inform customs that the taxes have already been settled? How the drop-shipper handle this ?

While I have many students who do live outside the USA and are able to dropship successfully, I'm based in the USA and I'm a citizen here so the course is coming from that perspective. I don't have enough insight to show exactly what to do if you're not in the same position as I am.

I don't get pricing. Why would someone buy an item from your store where the price is higher to offset your costs and could get the same item cheaper from Walmart or werewver? How does that work?

It comes down to convenience. People are used to shopping on eBay and Amazon and don't want to shop anywhere else. It's the same reason people pay $2 for a can of soda from a vending machine when you can buy a case of soda from the supermarket and they end up costing $0.50 each. People don't want to shop around or learn how to use another website :-)

what the heck did you sell for 1000?? keep in mind that you need to watch out for returns. I have a job and credit card but i cant seem to find items that will profit me more than 4-5$ per item becasue ebay seems so saturated and every item you want to sell, there are already at least 10 sellers selling that item with 2-3$ profit margin

I don't see that as being a problem. Deleting a listing can only hurt you if it's an item that's selling well. If the item isn't selling, deleting it is a good thing because it increases your sell through rate!

I would like to comment about tracking #s. I ordered an item from ebay. Several days before it was supposed to arrive I got a message from the seller saying it had been delivered. I had not received the package and I'm sure it was not stolen. I checked with the USPS and they had not delivered the item. I messaged the seller and ebay with this information and they sent me back the tracking information from an offshore delivery service and the stock response from ebay about checking with my neighbors, etc. They also said to file a claim with the delivery service but there was no way to do this. A few days later ebay asked if I had received the package I said no and they refunded my purchase price. If the package ever shows up I'll contact the seller.
