Thanks for the overview. Can you please comment on the power source? If it's battery, how often does it have to be recharged?
@PaulKempler3 жыл бұрын
The typical time between charges is roughly a year. I've seen times with clients from 6 months to close to 30 months with li-ion batteries. The size of the shade and how often it is used are also factors. Thanks for watching.

@@PaulKempler Thanks for the quick response. Wow! That's quite impressive! I was expecting more like once a week.

Can the motors be adjusted so that they synchronize and raise/lower at the same rate/height? Those in your demo are not synced and it looks sloppy.
@PaulKempler Жыл бұрын
The motors receive the signal by Radio signal (Gen 2) and Bluetooth (Gen 3). The motors often receive the signal at slightly different times. They behave that way randomly. Sometimes, it is like you saw, and most of the time it is perfect. If you wanted better synchronization, I’d suggest using the PowerView+ motors which are hard wired and the data is transmitted to the shades by one data unit of wiring. This sends the movement signal to the shades at exactly the same time. One of the things that Hunter Douglas is working on is having the shades move at the same time and speed. Please note that Kempler Design is a dealer for Hunter Douglas. We offer suggestions to them, but their team is the one who notes your comments and works on getting them up to your standards. Thanks for a great question.

How does the remote communicate to the system to control the roller shades? Is it through WiFi only?
@PaulKempler2 жыл бұрын
The current version (PowerView Gen 3) came out in May of 2022. It sends the signal via Bluetooth. The previous version sent the signal via radio signal. This is only in regard to the remote control. For the record, you asked about “communicate to the system”. The system is Bluetooth enabled now, whereas it used to be WiFi enabled in the past. There are technical differences in my answers, but this is the overall understanding that I believe answers your question. Anything further, reach out to me and I’ll try to help.

Even with blackout, am I seeing light sneak through at the sides?
@PaulKempler2 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the delay in response. I completely forgot to reply to you. Yes, unless you put side U channels in or a similar type accessory, you will get light coming around the edges. You can get the specifics when you are looking for the right product for your needs by calling us or another company you trust. Our national website is windowfashionisa.com

Can you do a 12' slider with these? In one piece?
@PaulKempler2 жыл бұрын
The Hunter Douglas Duolite can NOT offer a shade that size in the DuoLite option. But, I can do it via a different manufacturing option. Please contact me if you wish to discuss it. www.kemplerdesign.com

how limited are you with sizes?
@PaulKempler3 жыл бұрын
The largest size that is currently possible is 84 x 84. Pretty big, but not big enough for windows that are 85” or larger for height or width. :)
