Middle part of subtitle is against Amazon's KDP t&c. It's not allowed to add information like amount of pages, size etc. Better use that space for something else. Generally very interesting tactic, I will try it for sure! Thanks for sharing

Hi Paul, thank you for all of your great content! It has sincerely helped me a lot. You are also very easy to listen to. I have a question regarding the title. Shouldn't we put the keywords in the title/subtitle we found when searching for a less competitive, but profitable niche? So instead of writing Cornell Notebook, a very competitive niche, we write Cornell Notebook for College Note Taking in the title, since it's less competitive and we have more chances to get on the first page. This is how I understood the point of niche research or am I wrong? Thank you for your help

It's just Amazon's policy to allow both types of reviews to be accepted. When it comes to ranking they put more weight on verified proof of purchase reviews.

I created an ATV log book, nothing else like mine is on Amazon. I had trouble finding the categories to use for it, it ended up under camping. How can I change category and promote? I realize most people who ride ATV's are outside much of the time, but for us, we kind of forget which trails were horrid and which ones we liked, so keeping a log book of our travels is quite handy. I have a problem with category and promotion. Any of your expert help would be appreciated. I created the interior pages myself to fit trail riding on ATV's. Thanks!

Sounds like a great book. You can either change the categories in your KDP dashboard or you can contact KDP support and request which categories you would like your book to appear in.

@@paulmarles I wanted them to add a new category but they didn't do it. There are many items for ATV's but no separate category for them. They are not motor vehicles and they have categories for boats and motorcycles so not sure why not one for off roading or all terrain vehicles. I enjoy your videos they have helped me so much.

My manuscripts keep getting errors on almost every page saying "This object is outside the margins", yet there is absolutely nothing outside the margins. I don't really have any ideas other than that if they say there is something outside the margins they are usually correct. There must be something on those pages that KDP is detecting that is outside the margins. Make sure your bleed settings are correct too.

Hi Paul, I have a question (please respond if possible). On my book I sell through KDP I got 2 customer 1 star reviews saying their book came printed upside-down. This effects my overall rating, but the fault is not mine but Amazons because they made a mistake in printing. I've been trying to contact them but nothing seems to work. Do you have any suggestions that I could do to have those 2 reviews removed because they are not reviewing the contents of my book, but rather the way Amazon printed them incorrectly? Thanks!

Unfortuantely not. You can try contacting KDP support but I think you will find the reviews will stay. It happens. For example books getting damaged in the post. It's frustrating I know.

Here is the exact mail kdp sent me : "We checked your files and found issues you need to fix before your book can be published on KDP: Cover Update the subtitle in your cover file so that it matches the details you entered during setup. Where possible, we give pages numbers with examples. To make sure your entire book meets our guidelines, please review your entire manuscript file and fix all issues." I will try to change the cover a little bite a submit the book again.
