Superb demo and video Paul. I'm just an amateur plumber. Great for the lads that they can watch your video again before and after the class, not to miss anything. I always think with education you need three goes. 1st stage get over the bewilderment, 2nd stage learning, and 3rd stage reinforcement, memory, and questions. Hope to see all those lads smile when they've got good jobs.

What a great demonstration. I've done loads of diy plumbing over the years but never realised that there was a measuring science to getting bends precise. Always used a spring and solder joints to get the job done. I have to reconfigure my central heating pipework ready for a new boiler, so today I am buying a set of benders and I am going to do it properly. Thank you.

You are amazing teachear and polite. Stundents will lear a lot from you. When i did my plumbing course the teachear was rude and bulling many student left because of him, i was going to leave also but i stood up for my self and i did not tolerate his behavour. A year later that teacher got firet from two different school where he was teaching plumbing. The course centre is London, Barking Millinium Academy. Greeting from Albania. 🇦🇱👍🇽🇰

A far easier method of C/C 90 degree bends is to Lay your pipe flat. Put a level/timber piece along the short end Measure your 300mm and mark it Put pipe in bender, using a set square align the mark on the pipe with the inside of the bending machine guide Now pull your 90 Also guys, pull EVERYTHING, that’s how you get good. I was installing a pressure reducing set up on a mains fed cylinder. I could have easily used 2 elbows to join pipe tees that were running horizontally, but instead I came out of the first pipe, turned 90 and ran towards the nearest wall a metre away. I then bent the pipe down just so I could get a bracket on it. After the bracket I pulled another 90 ( which was horizontally level with the bottom pipe) back away from the wall back towards the cylinder. Lastly another 90 to get the pipe into the bottom pipe tee piece. All perfect using this method, quick to do, no leaks on a pulled bend, less resistance on a pulled bend, much better looking than a fittings.
