Judging from the size of the people in the "Tower of Babel" scene, the tower is not more than 500 feet high. Almost every city over 1 million people has a taller building than that. For some reason, God hasn't smoted any of them.

I fully agree with Mary Schweitzer that all creationists make their God seem smaller with every lie they tell. It's a point I've made in a number of my videos. Bodie only thinks the opposite because he believes magic is real and therefore that wizards are more powerful than muggles. If he were to somehow manage to step outside the kindergarten classroom that he lives his life in for even a moment and look objectively at the world, he'd discover how childishly and laughably puerile his world-view is and exactly how much he's been insulting his god and its creation. Not holding my breath though. His kind don't have even the slightest soupcon of the kind of humility needed to even consider the possibility of being wrong about anything.

The Qur'an uses male pronoun in describing god, but that has more to do with the grammatical rules of the arabic language rather than the actual gender of god (islamic god is genderless) and the fact that there's no gender-neutral pronoun in arabic, could something similar happen to the Bible (in its original language) that is unfortunately lost in translation?

Mostlyharmless1985 Validating all fundamentalism in all religiona by pretending it is good to accept things on mere faith. Is that not harm? If you allow me to not eat pig's meat for the reason that my religion won't allow it because you are for freedom of religion, then you also have to allow people to deny their children blood transfusions and let the children die if their religion is against that and for death. Mostly, I think he's wandering in lala land. Most christians are sane. It's the insane ones that are the problem. Dr Ken Miller is a christian & an evolutionary biologist, he testified in the Kitzmiller vs Dover case against the school board. Dr Francis Collins is head of the human genome project, a christian as well. It's just the nutters that "scream everything in the bible is true & we must defend it to the death, & there is no contradiction, because by god, I ain't gonna read it. I'm Just gonna take Hamwich or CumFart's opinion on things as sheer facts." Those, are the enemies. The funny part is the radicals all say that catholics aren't christians. Which would make them guess what, 2nd to Islam.
@sagerider27 жыл бұрын
Guitar, well, Catholics used to let priests marry. Because Jebus said, he must work along side his flock or how will he understand their problems. That would certainly cut into the pedophilia. So Pat Robertson should go work at a gas station during the week. And Hamwhich should have gone & helped build the Ark. But no, they don't believe any of that shit. Including god, I'm sure.

Did you all know that answers in genesis' youtube videos of their show have comments disabled.. Why am I not surprised? Christian ideology is a one way street. Usually I attribute this to a liberal ideology but it fits Christianity so well...."aside from telling you EXACTLY how to live your life, they want nothing to do with you." Remember when you were little, and in church when you raised your hand because you thought you were allowed to ask questions? That was my first real lesson on religion. "YOU NEVER QUESTION IT" Well, I had a lot of questions, and I found the answers in a science book. In the bible all I found was contradiction and a blindfold.

(Which just happens to point to his particular favorite version as the true one.) But do seemingly different groups of animals or plants with shared attributes go back to common ancestors, to the point where we we can trace them all back in time on a single evolutionary tree?
