The nonscientist addressing nonscientists didn't accurately represent science. Shocking. The dishonest problems are when they intentionally misrepresent the science and present themselves as some scientific authority. Serious problems occur if a personality cult trusts their leader more than scientists on scientific questions. The science vs creationism "debate" isn't really a debate. It's an attempt to convince people their side is better. Well, on the plus side, a lot of people learn a lot of science because of the usually silly debates.

Saw this on Logicked's channel, but I am definitely still liking here, and I will absolutely post the same comment. You guys make an awesome informative team. Having fun in hell? *previous comment I left on Logicked's video* I'm at a point where I can not figure out if Kent and Eric KNOW that what they are saying is complete and total bullshit and just plan to make money off those who are too willfully ignorant to check any of their claims. Or if they honestly believe what they are saying. If they just have the ability to pull these mental gymnastics on themselves. It seems Kent knows he's lying, which is why he uses such tactics as "That's just stupid, it's dumb!" He doesn't have to provide real evidence when he makes smart people SOUND stupid to his congregation, who he knows absolutely WILL NOT do their own research. Eric however, I think he believes what he's saying is true...because his dad has beat it into his head the same way he does his congregation. That's why Eric literally can not and will not do his own research and write his own speeches. That's why he only gives his father's lessons. They are both unapologetically terrible people. Can't wait to watch this next installment.

And from the the Monterey Institute for Research in Astronomy: "The table gives a heat ratio of 1.9. This is the ratio of energy that Jupiter emits to the energy absorbed from the Sun. Why does Jupiter emit almost twice the energy that it absorbs from the Sun? Partly because Jupiter is still shrinking and the contraction due to gravity produces heat, and partly because it is still cooling down from the time when it was formed. The planets and the Sun all formed at the same time, 4.6 billion years ago. All the planets were a lot hotter when they formed, and Jupiter is so big that it is taking a long time to cool down"

It's very simple. No creationist has been able to answer this question and I've asked it plenty of times: We all agree that an organism can be slightly different from its parents. That being the case, what is the biological mechanism which prevents a species from gradually becoming vastly different from its ancestor species to the point of being completely distinct from it?
@daverobson30845 жыл бұрын
Easy. Its the one that limits an ancestor species from gradually becoming vastly different from its ancestor species to the point of being completely distinct from it. (Note=don't ask for any actual evidence of an identified biological factor that accomplishes this. We don't need one. You need one for your theories , but we don't need any actual evidence and , no, this is in no way hypocrisy). Said every creationists that bothers to even try to answer that question. They don't know, don't care whether one exists, and don't want their followers to ask that question.
