Museums are good places to find unique recipes with stories. In Salt Lake City I visited the Later Day Saints pioneer womens museum. The museum gift shop had a small recipe book (about 50 pages) from the pioneer women who traveled and founded Salt Lake City. I enjoyed reading the stories and seeing the full recipes for things i have heard about in books.

I've just discovered your channel and instantly subscribed. I have this cookbook, as well as around three hundred others! I'm a total addict! Lol . I read them like novels and they bring me sooo much joy. I've always been a passionate cook. Will be watching all your cookbook corners, in my corner in Australia 😊

I love cookbooks I have two or three on the night stand at any given time. I am on self imposed restriction from buying any through the end of the year. This one is going on the January list! Great review.
@PaulsRuleofThumb4 жыл бұрын
I need a self-imposed restriction.. but I do typically buy older books at estate sales for $2.00 or less so it's unusual for me to pay full price. I too have several on my nightstand!😉😊👍

Daniel and I love fish. It's good baked in the oven (wrap it in aluminum foil or parchment paper, oil, salt and pepper, lemon slices and dill in the cavity), braised in vinegar, garlic, onion, and ginger, in sinigang, in sarciado, and with rice. Dreams, books, video games, and kettlebells make me happier. No one and nothing though makes me as happy as Lee's and my younger son Thomas did. Anniversary of his death is around this time. He was unresponsive late on the 19th and couldn't be revived (official call was around 2 AM which is technically the 20th, but we don't consider it to be the next day until the sun comes up). We still visit our family and friends.

@@PaulsRuleofThumb You wont be disappointed with Delia, now Kedgeree is flaked smoked haddock that you never find where i live in Florida sort of like a fried rice with fish that was a favorite for breakfast in the days when there were servants looking after those in large Manors so think Downton Abbey.
@reggieInside20234 жыл бұрын
@@PaulsRuleofThumb I second that! Delia is wonderful and her vegetarian cookbook collection is so accessible. I love meat, but saw the need to work in more veg options. Her book is a great on-ramp for that.
