This was very hard for me when I did it first, weeks ago (have to redo it). The feeling of losing control when leaning on the wall is something I must say 😊. Also the way lower back activates (and are limitting) when moving your legs in a pike or stradale movement, up or down is really interesting. Great drill.

Yes it’s a hard skill to master and take time. Keep building strength, conditioning and flexibility then all the moves will become easier and easier

Super again Paul....question: indeed this is demanding on the wrists...what are your thoughts on using parallets to ease the burden? I use two small 4 kg dumbbells which act like 'mini-parallets' as I can keep my hand in a fist throughout these drills...I don't want my wrist mobility limiting my training for HSpress...I use hands only for headstand work, but anything for handstand, I'm more comfortable with the dumbbells right now....

Yeah p Bars are great and I’d definitely add them to most peoples training. They are fine for all the drills. The only risk is if you never balance with the hands flat you will struggle to move to them later, if you wanted to. I use handstand blocks in the same way for my one arm handstand practice

you did not explain why people can not concentric from floor to up? Is it becouse bad TH flexion, bad compresion, bad pancake mobility..?
