I love this movement, its my number 1 exercise after my skill work. Spice it up with some windscreen wipers in the middle and you've got a pretty comprehensive upper body workout in one exercise.

Hi Paul, excellent content. Im currently training the Muscle Ups using your methods with the Greasing the Groove on a daily basis. I also added to my training the Skin the cat exercise too using the Greasng the Groove method... Thanks immensely for your help❤❤❤❤

This is one of my bucket list exercises (the full 360 pull) I can do the skin the cat for reps but have to bend my arms slightly at the start of the movement. I will try those negatives to see if I can strengthen that portion, thanks!

Yes slow negatives are great for filling the gaps. Hope it helps

thx Paul for this video. Have you any suggestions to include this movement into the trainingsplan? How many reps and sets would you suggest?
@PaulTwyman Жыл бұрын
It’s depends how much this is part of your workout. This is a great move as part of the warm up or a secondary movement following/superset with Press etc. Then you would keep the intensity and volume lower. But if it’s the main movement for the session I would warm up with easier versions for your level 2-3 reps for 3 sets then move to harder progressions for 1-2 reps and 5-8 sets. Obviously it’s all dependent on your level and conditioning

Hi Paul! I was discussing the German hang with my German friends last weekend. Do you happen to know how it got it´s name? Another great and very helpful video, BTW! 🙏

Yeah I’m not sure. A lot of the movements have a country in the name

It's not very nice. I believe it is the position that the Soviets would hang Nazi officers until their shoulders collapsed.

Hi, there is no ring in my gym, I'm doing this from a smith machine. I still can't get my knees to my chest without kicking with my leg, can you please do a video on a low bar and explain how to bring the knees to chest without kicking with the leg.
