@@daddy5225 actually my CR500 doesn't have a power valve. Those are optional. There are plenty of two strokes that use a reed valve but it's a completely passive device. What I posted is called a tongue in cheek comment. It's a joke that the original poster seemed to completely understand. Primarily because he was working on the top end of a four-stroke, specifically the valves while none of those parts exist on two stroke bikes.

@South_0f_Heaven_ Жыл бұрын
I like the intake valves being pushed on with his fingers cause it failed the vacuum check the first time lol. 45 degree seat angles are cut way too wide as well hence the reason why the intake valves failed the vacuum check. Thin seat angle = best seal and flow. Other then that overall good job doing the oversize valve seat.

Amazing work done there👌,really satisfying to see all that perfection and exactness of all your processes and machine work,makes me somewhat envious for real...I have the same 2007 Honda CRF250R 4-stroke which also made me enjoy the video a great deal! About a year ago my bike had to have both exhaust valves replaced since the bike was starting only after being pushed and even then it was misfiring while in idle ending up turning off sooner or later. An experienced friend looked into it and detected the issue,I then ordered the 2x exhaust valves,2x seals and new gaskets. It solved the issue,it starts and runs🙂,but it makes a slight rev cut when cold which fades a way once it takes off. My friend said for me to order a new replacing kit for the carburator which I did and I've been waiting on my friend to have a chance to mount the kit up...Do you think the new replacing kit for the carburator with new needle,o-rings,jets, valve and a couple of other brass parts will solve this issue🤔? Thank you in advance,my best regards to you all the way from PortugaL🇵🇹.

Just by eye, the exhaust valve with the non-replaced seat appears to be more recessed into the head than the one with the new seat. How different in thickness were the shims needed for them? Maybe it was an illusion, but I thought they must be pretty different if visible. Neat seat cutter, I never saw one like that!

Workers in industries where beryllium is present may be exposed to beryllium by inhaling or contacting beryllium in the air or on surfaces. Inhaling or contacting beryllium can cause an immune response that results in an individual becoming sensitized to beryllium. Individuals with beryllium sensitization are at risk for developing a debilitating disease of the lungs called chronic beryllium disease (CBD) if they inhale airborne beryllium after becoming sensitized. Beryllium-exposed workers may also develop other adverse health effects such as acute beryllium disease, and lung cancer. See the Health Effects section in the preamble of the Beryllium Final Rule for more information.

I guess it could be worse, grinding it. But YA, cutting Beryllium copper is a health hazard. Please display the MSDS as a warning.
@philipstreechon4523 Жыл бұрын
I had a good Frend who died from this. Berylliosis, or chronic beryllium disease (CBD), is a chronic allergic-type lung response and chronic lung disease caused by exposure to beryllium and its compounds, a form of beryllium poisoning. It is distinct from acute beryllium poisoning, which became rare following occupational exposure limits established around 1950.[1] Berylliosis is an occupational lung disease.
