Doesn't matter what other people think. It's your hobby and it's easy to see you enjoyed yourself. That's what is important. With that said, your build reminds me of some of the old builds we would see by kids in the 60's in pages of Famous Monsters. I love those builds. Love how yours turned out too.

I was one of the kids making those monster plastic models in the v60's, with Frankenstein being the first. The wolfman was in the collection. Your build is much better than mine, , as it should be, :). Recently I decided to build them again. This time sculpting them from clay and painting them. It keeps an old man out of the bars and off the streets, so my wife doesn't mind the expense. As long as it DOES keep me out of the bars and off late night streets I don't care what anyone thinks of what I do. I am not doing it for them. I believe I might have offed myself eventually, if I had allowed other's ideas to control what I did. My father always considered art supplies to be children's' toys, an utter waste of money, even when it was my money,. To him it was a huge embarrassment. He insisted I should be a policeman, like him. He hated his job and his life, so his opinions did not matter to me. Do what you need for your own life. There are many famous and notorious people that you never would have heard of had they listened to other people, especially their parents.

WOW- Your gauze wrapped Mummy is GREAT. I love it. a thousand times better than what I did. You really are good. I am glad I am not intimidated by such work by other builders or that Mummy would have me collecting sports cards rather than building and painting models. I am looking forward to seeing this monster develop. Glad I found your channel at the beginning of this project. Lots to see going forward or backward with your channel. Later same day: I wish I could see the hairy version of the wolfman through your eyes for a minute or two. I can not see what you are unhappy about. The creator never sees his/her work the same as others. No one else sees your original idea of what you wanted it to look like. IF I saw this at a collection showing scale modeller's works, I would be impressed with it and would believe a lot more time went into it. I am thinking like a fan with a little bit of experience, not like the artist thar created it. I expected this to be a series of vids, not one and done.

I built these same kits when they were still made by Laura in the late 60s.And I think by adding the hair really captures the texture of the creature

I love that you did this Paul - it's such a fun flashback to my childhood. I remember the Aurora kits so well - I think those boxes were more tall and narrow - and had a few of them back in the day. I like that you did the hair...to the point that it actually creeps me out a little, which is a good thing lol. Makes me think of the old Don Post Studios halloween masks and the Wolfman one I had was painted...but if they had stuck hair on it, it would have been MUCH creepier.

Actually,I think it looks pretty good. I like the color of the fur because it adds some contrast. There are a couple of women her on KZbin that rebuild and repaint dolls (like the Monster High dolls) and you can get some great tips on how to layer hair on a model from their videos. Like you,I have been building models since I was a kid am I am 71 years old now and still going. Best wishes and keep on modeling. I am also subscribing to your channel..

I just bought the same one today ,Love what you did with the hair and all,I also had a collection of all the Aurora universal monsters when I was a kid,I agree the model is not the best quality but it’s close enough from the original,You did a beautiful job thanks for the video ,Great work my brother

Just saw your video at the same time. I started the wolfman model. Ironically I will let you see what mine come out like haven't gotten to the end of your video yet, but it seems like a good idea. I like when people put their own twist on things. Good luck. I'll send you pictures of the finished product

I loved these Aurora kits when I was a kid, but I couldn't add stuff to them as you do. I think the result is great. If I were to do it, I would try and employ some of your additions, but I think I would add flatting-agent to the material of the trousers to make them less shiny, and I would paint the rocks and grass in night-time colours so it doesn't look as if the scene is happening in daylight.

What a great idea, to use differant colors to set the stage. I'm stealing that idea for the next creature!!!!

It's really cool that you chose to build it this way. You might be able to lessen the tonal differences in the fur by lightly misting a mid tone over it with an airbrush.

Very Cool! Good job being creative and trying something different! On my phone it's hard to tell - I wonder how it would look outside in the daylight - it actually looks like it has a green tint, but that may be my phone. The Wolf Man is my favorite Universal Monster! I'm on board with whatever you want to do as far as doing this kit again!

Hi there, I enjoy watching your model creations. I used to build the Aurora monster kits some 40 years ago. What a great idea to add things like hair to the wolf man. Your models look fantastic. Best wishes from UK.

If they do a model of sasquatch the faux fur method in that exact color would be absolutely perfect. But with the Wolfman, other than the hair color (a little more 🟤), it is just almost 🤏 exactly there. You're definitely on the right track 👍. This looks like something that needs a little profecting just a slight bit shorter would be perfect and I think the 🖌️ cleaner helps. I'm going to try this on mine, I might mess it up but you've trailblaze a path I have a sideburn trimmer with a grooming attachment, it's like a little screen that might get the shaggy spots better. BTW love the way you made the hair stick out of the ripped open spot on his pantleg. I tend to procrastinate on my monster models because of getting things right like flesh tones, clothing, EYES 👀, (love to see a video of that). That Mummy you did looks great where's the video of that?

@@pauly7218 Oh I will. I also like looking at the clutter on you're work desk I see a Matchbox #6 dump truck, I had got that around '67 or '68 still got it. I see the Beachbomb, w/ surfboards my younger brother had that. And I don't think I've ever seen any other can of soda on you're bench than Diet Dr. Pepper. My preferred refreshment as well. Taste way better since they changed the formula in '93 ? '94. LOVE THE MODEL BUILDS and love to see more classic Tom Daniel's kit projects if you can get them including dioramas.👍👍👍

Hey Paul, love the the channel. Are the trees only included in the original Aurora/Monogram releases? I was surprised not to see them included here. Easy enough to make I suppose. He kinda' looks 'brindle'. I'm thinking dog like...Great Dane, Boxer, Pit Bull. But, still so very cool. All the best with the continuing success of the channel.
