Introverts Unite! ..Separately! ..in our own homes! I love the way you not only pick up the lyrics and meanings, but you FEEL them! Tati: "The sick sick world!", Havik: "Yeah! This F'd up world!" I'm 100% with you ..separately ..in my own home! Awesome reaction! Thank you for the double reaction! Thank you, as always Havik, for bringing more of the fantastic music of Jinjer to more people! ❤️ 🖤 🤘

It was during Covid but the "locked down" part is more about her being an introvert. On top of that the video depicts the situation where the band was pressuring her to finish the lyrics for the album which she routinely procrastinates about. Hence the band showing up to break her serenity. To see her bouncing around on stage you would never guess that she's that introverted. It's just another duality and that she's pretty brave to go out on stage like that in front of huge crowds despite what she is off stage.

Nice...double feature!!! You've pretty much nailed it. To answer your question about what's in the "box"...it's a metaphor. She's running from her band mates who want something from her and after she dodges them and gets home, you see that it's some supplies to make her sand art (mandala, I think it's called). The band shows up at her home pounding on the door and she just wants to be left alone. The band "invades" her safe place, she gets angry and realizes that they'll only go away if she gives in and throws her "art" at them. The sand art is a metaphor for her lyrics (she's a professed procrastinator and the band has said they have to get on her sometimes about delivering her part for their albums). The band chasing her and hounding her for her "art" could also be a metaphor for the world constantly wanting something new from Jinjer.
@pauzeandrewind3 ай бұрын
Whoa! Thanks for explaining that!

"The band chasing her and hounding her for her "art" could also be a metaphor for the world constantly wanting something new from Jinjer". She looks nervously at the Window while making her "Lyrics" (the colour part) the black white part, her running. could be her feelings inside...knowing they will be coming for the lyric, feeling the pressure and anxiety and just want to flee it all
@JonNo863 ай бұрын
@@nutrybe it's not actually a metaphor. The guys write, polish, and record all of the music on an album and they constantly harass Tati to start working on lyrics and she always pushes it off. They will completely record the instruments on the album and Tati will legit ghost them and hide from them. They hound her so bad about it they eventually have to literally pick her up and drive her to the studio to record. They figuratively and almost literally have to drag her into the studio kicking and screaming. The line "I never asked to be here, I hated it from the beginning" is so real.

Top of the Mountain ... just saw them live in htown, she looked so good and the live sound was massive, she and her band mates make it look so easy, as she owns the stage putting on a show and connecting with the audience
@jonathanbradshaw26653 ай бұрын
Super reaction! Your analysis is spot on about the literal/metaphorical lyrics question. This was indeed written during the pandemic, but there's another layer that the video depicts (I know how you love the layers): Tatiana hates the pressure of writing the lyrics, she procrastinates and misses deadlines because of who she is (the band appearing in her world and disappearing) then the band insist and demand and it makes her furious (the chase - when they catch her, they just look at her). Finally under the heat of exquisite pressure she writes and gets into the studio in a filthy temper with her bandmates - hence the shooting at the band element. Notice how they dodge and brush aside the bullets though. They accept her fury and it doesn't hurt them, there's a beauty to that. The box is her creativity and has the sand for the sand picture in it. It's hers and she protects it. A final element that you didn't mention is the black wolf/white wolf symbolism. They both have positive and negative qualities. Originally, this is a Cherokee story about an internal struggle between them, in us all. Which will win? The answer is it depends on which you feed. Feed one, you starve the other and it becomes uncontrollable. Feed both and look after both means they will serve you well and do nothing that is not a part of something greater, something good, something of life. Ultimately How you choose to interact with the opposing forces within you will determine your life. Deep. It's a fantastic illustration of what a brilliant lyricist Tatania is. They burn up the stage when they are live. One of the best bands I've ever seen. Their power and cut-through is phenomenal and their respective skill set is masterful. Next? I'm going recommend 'On the Top' OMV and 'Live in Kiev' double feature would be awesome. You know want to!

I saw them open up for Breaking Benjamin and Disturbed a year ago and no lie I swear they went harder and had way more energy in a 45 minute set than Disturbed did in a 2 hour set. I've never seen an opener upstage the headliners that hard before. I remember literally feeling my rib cage rattle in my chest. They just dropped a brand new single/video called Someone's Daughter! You definitely need to check it out!

@@pauzeandrewind honestly better than I expected. Extremely solid and tight sounding. What I thought was hilarious was they have 3 guitarists and 3 singers and Jinjer only has 1 guitarist, 1 singer, and they slapped me in the chest harder than Breaking Benjamin did lol.

Imma start a petition for you to react to Jinjer in a double feature only from now on 😂😂😂 This band is really best enjoyed by checking out both the original version as intended by the band and their live versions for the raw emotion, Tatiana's outstanding vocals and the guys' musicianship. Their lyrics as usual are a must. My personal suggestions for enxy reactions: Pit of Conciousness Outlander Captain Clock I speak Astronomy but tbh, pick any Jinjer song and you will not be disappointed 😊

This is my favorite song. It's just the ultimate introvert anthem. And even tho she's right in the part of "should I just go on and jump over the wall and say hello to this sick world" as in: "ah shit aight, let's get this over with and step out of our comfort zone". She immediately goes back to "gotta go home my batteries are low" that's sooooo true for me, like okay, let's go out, hang out with people, go to work/school/whatever, well, people tire me, my social battery drains and I just wanna go back to it, to the lockdown. What a great band, such awesome musicians!

@Qyngali3 ай бұрын
Her lyrics were in the box. Or rather her contributions to the band that they're pestering her about getting done. Final scene where she throws her art at them makes them go away and leave her alone. The chase is a flashback scene that happened before the first scene where she came running home. There's a small nice touch in that first scene where after she sits down against the wall, the wall flashes red showing that she's starting to calm down. The paintings represents her state of mind. Fantastic video, as is usual from Jinjer. :) Oh and the lockdown part is coincidental. For an introvert the world is often "sick"... introverts also realize that being alone and isolated all the time is kind of being on lockdown which is often tough, but usually easier than being outside among people.

To an introvert, everyday life, people's expectations, socializing - can feel oppressive. Like lockdown felt for a lot of people. But during actual lockdown, she finally got to be herself, on her own, with these expectations turned off. So life outside of lockdown is lockdown for the introvert. And being on their own is freeing. That's what the song is about.

Awesome awesome reaction bro. You are picking up a lot of the nuances. It was perfect to first get the OMV and digest the lyrics, and then sit back and get your mind blown by the live performance. As amazing as the album track and the video are, they are just on another level live. It's so good you can't believe it. This Audiotree live version I feel like is the definitive version of this song. Tatiana's performance is diva level. To me she transcends genre. I would put this up with some of the great vocal performances. Whitney Houston at the Grammys. Freddie Mercury at Wembley. Steve Perry, Luciano Pavarotti, Frank Sinatra, you name it. Tatiana Shmayluk is one of the best singers I've ever heard. Puriod.

Whole band is crazy talented... but 50/50 on songs I want to hear again. Although Alissa White-Gluz rarely does cleans in Arch Enemy, it's only because the guitars play the cleans.. her growl is different but also dope. Probably the most complete metal female front in the biz.. Point is... There's a colab with Nita Strauss (guitar Queen) where she actually gets to sing sing and growl. The 2 are a stunning pair... Nita Strauss feat Alissa White-Gluz THE WOLF YOU FEED. BTW Have you seen Kim Dracula and Tech N9ne's song? Dunno how Kim gets Korn / Tech and about 8 others to do songs with off a Tik Tok cover of Paparazzi during Covid.... it doesn't make sense but 6 Octave vocal range and 1000-different deliveries might do it. Tech/Kim song is - WHAT(We're Hungry and Thirsty).

Subbed for these Jinjer reactions. Your reactions are absolutely fire :D Would you maybe react to "Outlander" by Jinjer. One of my favourite Jinjer tracks and one of the most overlooked songs by all youtube reactors. So sad. If you will do it then please consider making it a double header cause the song is way too short. I will link 2 videos but its the same song and same venue except that one video has edited, almost OMV sound and the other has live sound. Hard to tell which one is which and that is why Jinjer is on the very top of my list of metal bands to date. They just sound awesome no matter if theyre live or in studio. Really hope you will do this for me/us. And you yourself wont be dissapointed. Promise ;) Links coming up : P.S.
