Pavel Datsyuk is my favorite player of this generation. As a lifelong Wings fan, I don't know if I can say that I love him more than Steve Yzerman, but he is electric. Any fan, devoted or average has to appreciate this video. A classy player on and off the ice. He will go down in my book as one of the most skilled players, but also as a person, one of the best players of this generation.

Ha ha ha. Datsyuk is one of the greatest players of all time, and currently the best player in the NHL. Remember points aren't everything. Just watching this little video is all you need to see. I think I enjoyed watching Datsyuk steal the puck and then deke out that other Bruin. Just brilliant. Having such a humble star on my team makes me proud to be a Wings fan.

Chara is a big goon. the fact that pav goes back at him while being almost a foot shorter speaks volume to pavs heart and courage. not a better player in the league, the guy is something special. i'm really glad the pierre said pav should be the league mvp, it's about time the guy gets some recognition.

I left after the game against calgary in detroit, drove overnight and spent thanksgiving in rhode island then got some shut eye in boston to watch this game. That move was so quick, a lot of boston fans in front of me were screaming he kicked it in, but when they showed the replay on the jumbo tron everyone shut up. To top it off it went to shootout and Wings won. One of the moments I will never forget. (yeah I want a fucking cookie! or a donut because there are a million dunkin donuts in bosto)

Bertz skill on that play was amazing as well. The deflection of the puck into the zone, with the stick behind his back deflecting the puck between his legs, then the dish to Pav between charas legs. That was a skilled play from start to finish and the fact that pav hustled up ice after laying boychuk out behind the net, that play was a beuty!!!

Chara is probably thinking, if this dude was any bigger he'd probably kill someone. look how much effort chara had to put into that hit from behind to pav to actually knock him down. chara is so much bigger than pav and it still took taht much. it didn't show pavs next possession of the puck in the offensive zone when pav turned his back to chara but knew he was coming at him. he braced himself and chara tried to hit him and pav didn't even move. what a beast!!!
