A vibrant performance of this music, that is new to me. Thank you for uploading. Just in case other listeners to your channel have enjoyed it as much as me, I can recommend the following by Wranitzky that are actually known by me: Symphony No 1 in C minor Op 11 (I think) Cello Concerto in C major Violin Concerto in C major String Trio Op 17 No 2 All worth hearing. :-)

Thanks, David. So far I have posted eight musical works by the two Wranitzky, Paul and Anton, all of which I like. In fact, I like others too, but two uploads were blocked and I deleted them.

Good music. It has a peculiar style, difficult to associate to others. Perhaps similar to that of his brother Antonin. The large use of winds and percussions gives it a sort of military taste.

Is that a wee touch of sturm und drang I hear in this marvelous little piece?
@sibarit1013 жыл бұрын
Of course. The ‘Sturm und Drang’ movement had been prepared by various creative spirits, and influenced all the arts, including music, and Vranicky lived and composed when this artistic current reached its peak.
